How far in advance would you recommend planning this? I've decided I want to go next summer, and spend a week in LA afterwards or something. Any advice anyone could give me would be ideal!

As I'm one of those who stays up until 7am watching Coachella live stream on Youtube, was just wondering: is there anything known on whether Stone Roses can be filmed this time around? I know they weren't being shown on telly because of the documentary and I imagine it will be out by then, but some acts still continue not wanting their live performances streamed or recorded. Any ideas?

We've F'd up with the camping & didn't get passes. Anyone got any tips/ideas on what we can do? Feeling a little helpless at the moment! Be nice to hear from other Brits heading over this year too.

They're all about the same (although Fox, Advantage, and Payless are the lower end companies). I use

I would pick up gear before you get into Indio, not after (since a lot of people will be doing the same thing you are, and Indio is sort of a small town). If you're flying into LAX, you'll pass through quite a few towns on your way to Indio. Riverside/Moreno are good options. There are a couple of Walmarts right off of the freeway you'll be taking as you leave Riverside and start to enter Moreno Valley.

The best lineups you will find this year. Worst clash Band Of Horses against Blur/The Stones Roses for each weekend for 30 mins.

I like it but I wouldn't say 'the best', although I probably would say so if I was going. The two legendary British bands back to back is gonna be something spectacular though, you should probably forget about Band of Horses Hope you have a good time there anyway!

Haha I would forget about them but I did see The Roses at Heaton Park and I am going Finsbury which leaves the option of missing Johnny Marr at Coachella to see James McCartney and hope for a Macca appearance. Long as I see Johnny in London it's fine.

The Stone Roses really should have played before Blur, they're going to look awfully boring following the energetic performance Blur usually put on. Add to that they won't have the crowd in the palm of their hands as they did in the UK & it doesn't make for a good combination.

Hope they prove me wrong though.

Yeah I can see it. Mostly the same as who I'd see, I don't know that many acts not on the main two stages. Nothing really that interesting on Saturday night, would probably go watch Franz and New Order but I'd be annoyed at having travelled all the way around the world to watch them two who are seemingly always about the UK. I have a feeling Coachella is 8-9 hours behind us, so Roses & Blur will be on in the early hours of tomorrow morning (if they're streaming this weekend)

Well Grinderman are on at 10.30pm Philadelphia time which is 3.30 in the morning in the UK, unless I'm mistaken?

Also the Stone Roses are only streaming "highlights" & as far as I can tell Blur aren't being streamed at all, which is a shame.
