I always associated RockNess as primarily an electronic festival and that announcement must be a kick in the teeth for people expecting that.

I was so close to getting a ticket based on that assumption but THANK FUCK A DIDNY

It says there's "another very special headliner" to be announced, so looks like Madness and Vaccines are both subbing. I have little doubt it'll be a rock act headlining, so I guess QOTSA will probably be headlining the third night

Seems to be a seriously lack of electronic music in the announcement, surely Example doesn't count at the "electronic headliner"?

That said quite a few acts I'd like to see so far definitely seems like they are trying to appeal more to a younger audience.

Could be, but Basement Jaxx is electro, Example is mostly electro, is a third electronic/ rap headliner really likely? Considering Biffy Clyro and Kasabian both headlined in the last two years, I think not

I'm actually in awe of how bad that line up is...after all this wait. Of course they will add djs, but why wouldnt you put at least 2-3 of them in the initial announcement. The reaction on their Facebook post is pretty hilarious.

I think that's actually a decent line up.

Basement Jaxx are a solid dance headliner. In fact, I'd rate them higher than Deadmau5 and I'd rank Example above Mumford and Sons so in many respects this could turn out a stronger line up than last year.
