hi, I am new on here, sorry if you have gone through this before - basically we went as a family to see the foos at rock en seine a couple of years ago ...the kids were 14, 13 and 3!!! - she was definately the youngest there.....and it was a great atmosphere. We really want to see QOSA and thinking of coming to Benicassim...is this a child friendly event? she is 5 now, but don't want to take her if it is more full on!!!

Hi, I'm all for kids at festivals but I don't think I'd take a young child to Beni to be honest. Rock en Seine is very chilled out and civilised (I went last year and really enjoyed it) I'd say it's a very different atmosphere by comparison to Beni! I slept about 6 hours total over 5 days when I went a few years ago and there were a LOT of rowdy/ drunk people about (at least 50% Brits/Irish, like my group) as the music goes on until dawn. It wasn't quite the relaxed, muso crowd I encountered in Paris.

Unless Beni has quietened down a lot in the last few years, which from friends I've heard is not the case, I definitely think you'd be better off with a different festival- even for your teenagers it might be a bit much! QOTSA are playing elsewhere this summer, maybe worth looking at other options??

thanks for that, I'll rule it out then. We live in France and was thinking of driving down to spain for a holiday and doing the festival, do you reckon there is any chance QOSA wll play Rock en seine?

Just seen they are playing Rock a field ......anyone know what that festival is like?

What's more;

- you have QotSA as headliner

- comparing to Benicassim it's cheaper. Ticket for Benicassim is 150GBP as I see and for Open'er it's about 110GBP, also prices in Poland are much cheaper than in Spain

- Trójmiasto(Gdańsk, Gdynia, Sopot) is great place for summer :) .

You Could look at Glasto in England (if you can get tickets!) for young children... they have a special family area which is safe and you see lots of children around (i think they even have a nursery on site but would have to check that).... add to that is it a brilliant festival with brilliant acts.
