kev1664
The fratellis wernt that bad in 2008. They were just going onto their second album, which didn't really take off from what I can remember. In going to see them in April because my lass is a huge fan. I thought Costello music was great when it was released, it's aged a bit now though. It'll still be good to hear the songs for the nostalgia. luckysalt
Christ! They subbed at Glasto, I thought they only did at TITP cus they were Scottish. The Kooks got big fast and have kinda stayed at the same level, they've disappeared altogether now though. Best 'indie' band to have surfaced from UK in past 10 years is Editors IMO, be interesting to see where they end up if they play this year. Is NME headliner too small for them now? kev1664
They also subbed Glastonbury that year. Those were some dark times for guitar music. Bands like The Fratellis, The Enemy and The Kooks playing pretigious slots at festivals, being heralded as "the next big thing". Thank god the mid-to-late noughties are over. I find the current crop of popular Indie bands like The Vaccines and Two Door Cinema Club to be rather dull, but they're certainly not as bad as those! the wonderwhy
I think Vaccines will end up like Arctics, although probably not quite as popular. I definitely think they'll be headline material in a few years though.

Duw13
I'd count myself has someone who enjoys The Fratellis, off to see them in April, the ideal festival band in my view, lots of energy and a good singalong, so I'd like to see them at Reading as well
the wonderwhy
Their second album did better than the first, so I don't think it really matters what we think

kaosmark2
Yeah, I noticed they played Hammersmith a couple of years ago. Good to know they put on a decent show. Not sure how likely it is that they'll tour together again though

Chrisl2510
Definitely glad two door aren't at r+l this year, it'd be 4 years in a row. Wouldn't want them to take up another decent slot this year. They're not a bad band I'm just glad they're having a year off.
