Leeds vs Wakestock

been to both and as old fart was a serious bad mistake doing wakestock as if u are over 18 it seriously isn't for u as full of children who are from posh mummy & daddy for w/end who can't handle their beer (least Leeds youth are more "real" lol)

beauitiful location and is good popping out in the day to watch the wake boarding and have a decent pint n meal in abersock or nearby but that's were it ends!!

A***hole factor big style, total people who like to be seen seeing the band rather than enjoy it and probably at best know one song on said band in seeing but push past everyone to get to the front cos they soooo love the band (and get pic for FB/twitters**t of course)

Scary amount of security & police to epic amounts for said kids who thinks they are so out there its wacky (err sheep comes to mind)

As u can gather hated wakestock and as much as Leeds can have fair % of t**ts it 100x better and get better bands hence why been going for 5 years

Edit - I will also add left early and missed Biffy Clyro who I love as I was that bloody p*ssed off with the place!

I hadn't really ever looked into Wakestock before, just nosed into it because of the dismissive attitude here.

A music fest is very different from big watersports events though. I've only done wakeboarding a couple of times in water parks but I've been to a few kitesurfing SKA events. If you wakeboard anyway and like the lineup, it might be worth a crack, particularly if there would be a crowd of you, but if you'd just be watching it and aren't too fussed on the bands, you'd be paying a lot of money for a festival which won't give you the same festival experience as one of the more traditional ones.

Might suit you, and if you'd be wakeboarding and entering competitions I'd say go for it, but there's a style each festi has, and if the Wakestock one doesn't interest you, then not a lot will help in the end.
