festival dictionary?

I've just had what might be a stupid idea ... but bear with me....

Could we compile a festival dictionary between us?

It could include the well-known words and phrases (such as glastobating, & 'bollocks/alan') as well as help define new words for festival specific activities. For example, people always want to know how long the walk from the car park to the camping fields is, but there's no word for that. So we could invent one.

I was thinking it could be compiled via a dedicated forum here, where words or phrases (complete with definitions) could be proposed and then voted on for inclusion. The accepted words could then be added to a dedicated page or website section.

Sounds like a good idea but defining words leads to arguments on here a lot.

I'd assume it wouldn't just include festival words but music scenes in general like "hipsters" too?

Like the idea.

I can image a whole section on toilets - for example Longdrops, which I assume are principally found at Glastonbury and Turdis, the more commonly found portaloo type cubicles that always remind me of Dr Who's Tardis.

A couple others mentioned above:

Bimble - to wander aimlessly in a relaxed way around a festival

Randoms - the people you might just bump into and strike up a conversation with.

nothing that I've deliberately changed, but I upgraded the forums software by two small levels the other day so I guess it was a consequence of that.
