DeclarationOfWar
http://www.justgiving.com/uom4childrentoday Hello, sorry to trouble you all on here but I was in hope that some fellow blues could help me out! As part of my degree at University, for one of my modules we have been asked to adopt a charity and fund-raise on their behalf for the 12 week duration of the course. It is aimed to be a more practical module rather than simply learning techniques on how to do certain things, and instead putting them into practice. Alongside the task of hosting several events to generate as much money as possible for the charity in our spare time, we also study a wide range of degree courses and therefore some help is needed in assisting our fundraising efforts. Children Today is a children's charity which uses any donations to help fund the needs of families nationwide for pieces of specialised and usually expensive equipment for their child/children who has a disability. Their aim is to ensure that every disabled child and young person achieves their potential, and with your support this can be achieved. The charity itself relies totally on voluntary donations and receives no funding from the government or social services as there is no statutory right for young people with disabilities to be provided with equipment they need by the government or NHS Therefore Children Today fills that gap and this is where your help really is necessary! I appreciate that many of you posters on here must donate to your own charity of personal choice, however your involvement in our efforts to raise as much money as possible would significantly contribute to our fundraising efforts and would allow you a very worthwhile opportunity to be part of changing a child's life. Below is our JustGiving page where there is a bit more information about ourselves and the project that we are undertaking and I would like to say thank you very much for your time for just reading this post! Bisque
Good luck. A donation may be coming your way once I've read up more about the charity & their ethos.
