I doubt Nickleback would want to play festivals as they know how hated they are and the same applies to the fests who wouldn't want to book them as they are fiercely hated by many but I can only see them headlining a fest if they were to play.

Research? I have the first 3 albums of their and used to love it when I was growing up they are not a bad band by all means but are far more popular than they should be. I dont really understand why they headlined Creamfields but pretty much any genre of band could do Ibiza Rocks.

At the end of the day, many people who are "lads" and like oasis, arctics etc, also like kasabian. Music aside I think that's where the association comes from. That and their cocky like "let's say we're the best band in the world and criticise other bands to nme" attitude
