Ha - you want to try the Latitude forum.......every year that is going to be headlined by David Bowie, Radiohead and Kate Bush - strangely all three must pull out the day before the announcement is made every year too.

Yeah, but the Facebook page is also full of people expecting Neil Young to be announced to play the cider bus. That must be exasperating for the organisers. I know I get annoyed with ridiculous speculation/requests and I don't even run the bloody thing.

I'll stick with the realism and sensible discussion here thanks.

The guy the other day who was like "the lineup's starting to look good, how about getting the Pixes?". Yeah, I'm sure they'd love to play second on the bill at a 15K festival. Or yeah, people who literally think Neil Young or Arcade Fire or Tom Waits are going to play. Or who list a whole bunch of bands that have broken up (people calling for Neutral Milk Hotel before Mangum made his comeback). Sometimes I want to request the Stones, Radiohead, the Ramones and the Beatles....

I get annoyed easily. But sometimes it may be justified.

Amazing, I would be happy if Foals did play end of the road.

Last year we came by car but we are going to have to hitch a lift or use the bus . Someone said to me last year that the bus service was shit, any advice?

I only recently discovered this forum and really like it. I agree that a dedicated forum is way better than a Facebook page.

Shame the link has been removed - have found this forum a great place to get info and occasionally moan. Have no desire to join facebook or twitter so hopefully this forum will continue - many thanks to efestivals for keeping this going.

It's a shame such a vibrant community fizzled out because of the decision not to engage with it by the EOTR organisers - personally, i hate facebook and don't find it user friendly for those long threads and spirited debates. Part of the pre-fest buzz was seeing who everyone was (and wasn't) looking forward to (as well as picking up tips for nice to sees) - ah well!!
