2 x Inflatable pillows for 99p each

1x 5 Litre water container for £1.29

25 x 1/2 pint plastic cups for 99p

they had lots of other bits in bobs (even sleeping bags and popup tents) but nothing else i needed right now!

tesco value airbed sounds like it will do the job too Frankiex, cheers!

One shiny new Aldi self-inflating mat has now been procured :) Seems to be almost identical to the one I bought from them in 2002 but without the potential weak points where mine eventually gave up the ghost after 10 years of regular use and abuse. Shiny is definitely still the operative word BTW as it seems to be just as slippy as the old one but it's not really a major problem unless you happen to be camped on the side of a mountain ! It isn't going to be test driven until August but I'm definitely expecting many years of good service again. The wooly boot socks seem pretty good as well if you prefer the shorter length ... although probably not good if you team them with the sandals unless you also have an appropriate pair of Union Jack shorts and a knotted hanky to wear as well

Your right they don't go with sandals, socks have to be knee high to look good ;)

This thread is right up my street. Been going a bit crazy over the last couple of days! Although there are lots of bargains, I've spent way more than I would have had I not read the thread in the first place!

Bought the heavy duty cart, a cooking stove and an inflatable pillow (to take order over £50) from Robert Dyas

http://www.robertdyas.co.uk/P~148837~Heavy-Duty-Garden-Cart

http://www.robertdyas.co.uk/P~148945~Outback-Portable-Gas-Stove

http://www.robertdyas.co.uk/P~162410~Summit-Inflatable-Pillow

Used code TEL10 to get £10 off £50 spend (it seemed like it was a choice of using that code or the free delivery code(£4.99 off)) so all three came to £46.96 delivered. Used Quidco so should get 5% cashback too. I'm loving the look of the heavy duty cart!

Also got these gas cannisters to go with the cooker: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Pack-of-four-gas-canisters/dp/B000B8JMZU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1370177353&sr=8-1&keywords=gas+cannisters

£5.09 - seem to do the same job as the more expensive Outback branded version.

While not particularly a bargain, I got this cooking set: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=250553204286 for £15 which was cheaper than elsewhere for the same set and seems half decent quality.

Also bought the Hozelock portable shower recommended elsewhere: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=360602760293&ssPageName=ADME:L:OC:GB:3160 although most of the reviews on Amazon refer to people using it for washing their dogs!

There's a two for one on Argos Outlet (that ends at midnight tonight) so also picked up this mobile phone: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=360496773668&ssPageName=ADME:L:OC:GB:3160 in case I decide to leave the smart phone at home (or as backup for when the smart phone runs out of battery or gets dropped in the mud) I thought (although probably wishful thinking) T-mobile might provide the best signal as EE seem to be an official sponsor and are providing 4G coverage.

The portable shower and phone came to £17.89 delivered. Some places are trying (surely not very successfully) to sell the portable shower for £70 alone.

I also got a nano sim to full sim adaptor to see if the smart phone sim will work in the emergency mobile: http://www.amazon.co.uk/4sold-White-Standard-Adapter-iPhone/dp/B00BY5WNLY/ref=sr_1_8?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1370178637&sr=1-8&keywords=nano+sim+adapter £1.19

I'm thinking about getting a solar shower bag to warm the water for the shower! These can be bought for £5.

I loved the sound of the portable urinals! I always wake up with a killer hangover, desperate for the loo - not an ideal time to brave the glasto loos - so went for some of these. They could be the best things since sliced bread: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B000NVBYD8/ref=oh_details_o04_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 £17.22

There's also a three pack version: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Traveljohn-66918B-TravelJohn-Disposable-Urinal/dp/B0019M7VE6/ref=sr_1_1?s=drugstore&ie=UTF8&qid=1370178983&sr=1-1&keywords=traveljohn for £5.22 - lots of positive reviews from festival goers saying it's changed their festival experience and they wouldn't go without them now!

Also bought two groundsheets from Poundland.

Total spend to date thanks to this thread (and my uncontrollable spending): £105.35.

Got a feeling we're going to need the heavy duty cart!

Still on the wishlist:

The 100L backpack from Argos

although this has gone up £4 from the price advertised earlier in the thread - it's now £21.49 rather than £17
portable mobile phone charger (maybe not necessary now i've got the back up phone!)
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Lightning-Sensation-Blackberry-connectors-customized/dp/B0063AAIRG/ref=pd_ybh_12#productDetails £25.99, supposedly provides four charges for a smart phone - would save a few frustrating hours wasted queuing for the charging tent.

this really would be overdoing it, but my girlfriend loves the sound of this - a pop up shower tent and some velcro to go with the Hozelock portable shower. pop up feature would enable the shower tent to be quickly taken down after use to prevent unwanted guests 'mistaking' it for a toilet!

Also vaguely thinking of getting a lantern. Would this be useful or a waste of time? We normally end up buying some of those long candles at glasto that aren't very effective.

Now need to start thinking about beer - is there a 'best place to buy cheap beer' thread?!

I got this (thanks to the links here) had to reserve and collect as there were non at my nearest store. Although the confirmation email said £17 when I came to pay for it the price had be increased to &21.49. Argos were great and a quick trip to the checkout person meant a refund for the difference put back on my card!

Even at £21.49 I'd say it was a bargain, it's massive!

Thanks, I think I'll head down Argos then - a back pack is crucial (which can't really be said for all my purchases!)

Yesterday I picked up my package from amazon containing 18 travel johns for £17.22 incl free P&P (just under £1 per wee or 50p if I can squeeze 2 in!) and my shewee extreme. I had a practice run with the shewee and it was a roaring success! I think the combination of items is going to save me much hassle

I went for the 12v ring automotive shower (http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B000V1UALM/ref=oh_details_o04_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) that takes 4 d sized batteries for c£16 on amazon and a Quechua pop up shower tent from Decathlon (http://www.decathlon.co.uk/cabin-pop-up-changing-room-hiking-hygiene-accessories-brown-grey-id_8171223.html), also did the £5 solar shower bag (http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B000LTFCJY/ref=oh_details_o05_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) for the warm water but will use the camping kettle if its not too sunny. Have already tried the shower and it's pretty good and I'd recommend the pop up shelter have tried it out and it's really easy to put up and pack away.

I have a portable ted baker battery pack that was on here a few years ago on from eBay which works a treat keeping my phone charged up for the whole 5 a d a bit days, so I'd definitely recommend.

They are narrower in the calf than my bog standard Dunlop wellies but not uncomfortably so. Mine came from Blacks so if you have one locally than worth going to try some on.

Great post, exactly what makes EFestivals great. Got me and a friend a new glasto mobile phone, works out at about 7 pound each with postage, bargain! Thanks, great help! BOGOF deal ends in 23 mins to anyone lurking on these forums, cant grumble at 7 pound for a mobile phone!

Bought the sleeping mat from aldi today too! £13.99 from my local aldi in manchester and there wasn't many left and that was at noon today! Ahhhh glasto is coming guys :)

Sent a friend to Aldi to get the 3.99 fake crocs for the campervan gang- I hate them with a passion but they are awesome for slipping on to wander over to the toilets in the middle of the night and slipping off afterwards - pj's, socks and crocs a darn good look :-)

Apparently she got the last two pairs in the right size - madness !

Great ... not sure I really want 18 of them tho!

You can not out a price on weeing in your tent and porch and NOT having to walk over to the long drops.

also, I did start off with the plastic shewee, but then moved on to the paper throw aways as they were easier to carry and I really wantre dto wash the thing every time even tho it say you don't need to

Where did you get the paper ones please? Slightly worried about my 'aim' in the porch in to a traveljohn after a few bevvies! I'm taking a huge lenor bottle so a paper shewee would be ideal!

I don't use the sheewee in the travel john, open one up you will see that you just place it and pee

Paper one in the market at G, get them the day you arrive becos last time they ran out when I went back for more

Just throw them down the long drop or in the bin in the porta loo

I no longer use the plastic one ....
