Day ticket for Saturday....where the f*** can I stay?

Ok so I've decided that I fancy a day ticket for Download on the Saturday....problem I have Is that I live in Brighton, I don't drive there's 4 of us and we have no idea what to do!

Obviously most hotels nearby seem to be booked, doesn't anyone have any suggestions? Is there any transport or coaches or anything that runs late at night? All the transport info seems to be geared towards people with weekend tickets!

Camp at shardlow marina. Bus goes past it although a taxi isn't too pricey. Clean site and onsite bar.

We stop there whenever we do the day.

either that or you could potentially book a hotel in nottingham/derby and get the skylink in and out. way more expensive but only a suggestion

There's a shuttle bus that runs all day and into the night (well after the headliners last set) to Derby town centre. There's often cheap deals to be had in the budget hotels in Derby too. A couple of years ago we stayed in a premier inn in Derby for about £40.

Booked to camp at Shardlow Marina.....now fingers crossed it doesn't rain.

Check out the Ibis Budget Derby.

A few of our tribe are staying there on the Thursday night so we can get in a bit earlier on Friday (we live 5 hours away and it's my turn to drive this year)

£60.75 for three of us (two rooms) including breakfast, plus there's a KFC and pub right next door.

just fyi all the travlodges in the surrounding areas are full as im staying in nottingham. There is a premier inn that has availabilty in loughborough

I have 2 rooms that are available at the European inn in Derby. 150 quid for Friday, Saturday and Sunday night. Its right near the train station and ideal for the shuttle bus.
