gjammer
I would be happy if Tool where there somewhere. Have never seen them but they are high on my want to see list.
Frankly Mr Shankly
If those A7x arena dates sell out/sell well then Copping is going to be looking at them as headliners for sure. Maybe not for 2014, but 2015 for certain. Bang a strong sub-headliner underneath them like NIN & job done. Edit: Just realised Copping is promoting the tour. I'd say that makes it even more likely. luckysalt
BTW the Birmingham date isn't the NIA its the LG, Which is a lot bigger. Its where Sabbath are playing. Id say they're headlining for sure.
rawaudioinput
Does anyone think that Paramore could actually sub Download next year? I think them and 30STM aren't too different in size; Paramore are obviously bigger but I still think they could accept a sub slot. With that in mind:Friday Main: Pearl Jam // The Smashing Pumpkins // Weezer // Killswitch Engage 2nd: Marilyn Manson // SkindredSaturday Main: Avenged Sevenfold // Paramore // Bring Me the Horizon // Within Temptation 2nd: Machine Head // Lamb of GodSunday Main: Nine Inch Nails // Deftones // Placebo // Dream Theater 2nd: ZZ Top // Trivium Edited May 12, 2013 by rawaudioinput

Gucci Piggy
Yeah I've been thinking Paramore could sub next year. Avenged Sevenfold Paramore Pearl Jam Alter Bridge Tool Nine Inch Nails With BMTH opposite Pearl Jam or Tool. That'd be brilliant for me, with some decent alternatives on Friday. theramm
Jesus Christ. A7X announce a 3 date arena tour that hasn't even gone on sale yet & people are suggesting they're a headliner?!? Their first arena tour too. 30STM have just announced their 3rd and they're still subbing. The festival marketplace is in a down turn, fests are needing to book bigger headliner & bigger subs not the other way round.
lharris92
on the logic of a7x headlining then surely bands such as bfmv and alter bridge should be headlining now as they've both done arena tours, with alter bridge doing their 2nd later this year, and bfmv rumoured to be doing one at some point again. Dead throne
Friday: Main: Pearl Jam Alter Bridge Twisted Sister 2nd: Evanescence 3rd: Gojira Saturday: Main: Avenged Sevenfold Rob Zombie In Flames (swap them with bmth?) rawaudioinput
After thinking about the usual strength of Download headliners I've changed my prediction a fair bit:Friday Main: Linkin Park // Paramore // Bring Me the Horizon // Within Temptation 2nd: Weezer // Lamb of GodSaturday Main: Pearl Jam // Deftones // Alter Bridge // Killswitch Engage 2nd: Marilyn Manson // TriviumSunday Main: Nine Inch Nails // Avenged Sevenfold // Machine Head // Dream Theater 2nd: ZZ Top // Skindred
Dead throne
Machine head 3rd again? Skindred 2nd from top on second? Before zz top? Wha?

Frankly Mr Shankly
I can't remember if I've already done this, but fuck it: Friday: Tool Nine Inch Nails (Special Guests) Dream Theatre Second Stage: Bring Me the Horizon Killswitch Engage Saturday: Avenged Sevenfold Deftones Slayer Second Stage: Judas Priest Children of Bodom Sunday: Pearl Jam (or Aerosmith) Alter Bridge Placebo Second Stage: Skrillex Skindred

dentalplan
NIN will have a new album out by next summer won't they? Surely that would push them up?
thewayiam
Pearl Jam, A7X and NIN for next year. I can't see a 3 really that Download fans would like moreso except for the Tool (that's probably not going to happen), if they even tour the UK again. I think Deftones, Stone Temple Pilots and possibly Alterbridge as subs too. And I know it's previous but who's willing to bet Linkin Park turn up the following year? - I don't think they'll keeping going much past that really, and I think Chester knows it hence why he's getting in the the STP's vocals. Gucci Piggy
each to their own on idea's but if A7X can headline it so can Paramore. Both sold out Manchester, both sold out Wembley. A7X have sold LG but then Paramore have sold Cardiff. Going based on seetickets. I guess A7X edge it going by the crowd but A7X aren't a bigger band. i thought bbc radio one big weekend, Paramore's show could've done with being in a darker setting which put's it in a headline slot.
