There should use a giant Claxon they use when it rains. When it goes off after rain, everybody has to stand completely still for an hour to allow any surface water to seep down into the soil, to avoid peoples footprints churning up the soil and then mud. After the hours up and the water has sunk dee into the ground the Claxon goes off again, and people can continue to wander around without fear of churning the wet soil into mud

regardless of forecast, still taking wellies, waterproof jacket, waterproof trousers, i'm leaving nothing to the smoke and mirrors of weather forecasting! but will be mightily happy if i can put them all back away on monday week unused!
