Cannot sleep. Agree Jackone as much now a part of the build up (since 2005 to my knowledge) as t day. Noticed he isn't a glastonbury attendee, however, seams to like his sport. Perhaps a charitable donation to his favourite season ticket cause ?

Current rain is moving quickly so won't be a full on drenching, in fact probably what the place needs by now. it's getting dry out there

Then the latest GFS run is also quite tasty (this comment only valid for the 21st's 18z! just in case) top line is pressure (higher=better chance of nice) and the bottom rainfall (really? you don't need me to tell you)

going to sleep pretty happy

Wow, its still too close to call, All the forecasts still say dry but if that Atlantic high moves south Saturday night could get very soggy. Time to dig out the waterproofs just in case.

Morning campers. Just been and checked the latest chart and my extensive range of real time sensors and the following applies for Pilton for the period 07z to 08z 22 Jun 13.

1. The chart shows that the dog hasn't had his pill yet.

2. The rock on the string is wet and moving slightly leading to the conclusion it has rained and there is a bit of wind.

3. The guys on Worthy Lane security point say that it rained quite heavily for a couple of hours off and on.

4. They slightly wierd guy on VG1 is still wearing his dust mask.

5. The top of the dog is dry, conclusion is that it has stopped raining.

6. The dogs feet are wet and not muddy, conclusion is that it is still hard underfoot.

7. The sky is grey with blue bits and there is some evidence of a big hot yellow thing overhead necessitating thr use of eye protection.

I hope Jackone's forecasts are correct otherwise I can see him going from hero to zero quicker than the guy who 'won' the Glastonbury tickets in the EE competition.

Raining in Shepton Mallet at the moment (as forecast on the BBC site). Actually the BBC site has been fairly accurate over the last few days and is still predicting a dry festival.

The Weather Outlook mentions high pressure from the Azores - you see Azores, you think Azores finger!! It's high pressure coming up from the Azores, sometimes in a comedy finger shape but it's just what you want for Glastonbury :)
