2011 was a bit of a nightmare for the first few days. It was a pain trying to get around some areas, Shangri La was terrible for mud and it kind of ruined it for me. I'd take 2010 weather any day.

I saw more things and had more fun in 2011 than 2010. I couldn't stand the heat until about 4pm and barely got any sleep due to heated tent at 8am combined with late night fun. Saying that the forecast is looking like 2009 minus the Thursday rain which would suit me just fine.

My memories of 2008 is that it was overcast and dull. A very "grey" year. 2009 was the best weather-wise. At times it was baking hot aswell. I remember Spinal Tap in particular being a mess.

2010 was not condusive to a vintage festival. Way too fucking hot. If people want Playa Del Pilton here's a picture of a straw.

I'd take a 2010 over a 2007 any day. But I'd take 2008 over 2010, no doubt. 2010 was too hot, and getting burnt out of your tent at 9 every morning was miserable. I thought the crowd was pretty flat as well. Just drained of energy.

Think some people on here who say 2010 was perfect and the moaners need to get a grip obviously don't realise how difficult some people find the heat.

If you wake up and within 10 seconds you're scrambling to get out of your tent as if it was on fire its too hot!

If you're sweating profusely and not exercising at the time its too hot.

If you're slapping on factor 50 because your skin will burn to dangerous levels its too hot.

If your hairy swingers are dangling about in yer kacks like a hippo's tonsils in an attempt to cool themselves down, its too fucking hot.

This coming week looks perfect!

Simply can't bare the mud, I've always said that since first going in 94 my dry g's out way the not but I ain't sure that's still correct. It's slightly futile to say it's June man one week a year in three years in theory to just have it nice... please.

Anyhoo, well done all hope you all have a great festival :)

All those moaning about heat in 2010...seriously?

Yes your tent is hot in the morning, but you just open it up so there's a through draught and lie with your head sticking out on the cool wet grass. Simple, effective.

Yes the mid-afternoon heat can be oppressive, so go somewhere with some shade if you can't handle the sun. There are loads of places with shade....

2009 was lovely sunshine from friday - sunday I remember then bucketed it down sunday night. Still, needed wellies all day friday and some of saturday after the thursday rain I seem to remember. I agree that weather was great, apart from the mud.

I would love there to be no mud this year! Thinking back on other years and remembering how quickly the mud can churn up, I think I will definitely be taking my wellies, tempting though it is to leave them behind.

I guess 2010 was too hot, but it was so lovely seeing that blue sky and sunshine every day. I literally didn't sleep for 3 days though as would get to the tent at about 5 by which time the sun was up and sleep was impossible so I would end up getting up. Not sure I would be able to do that again! So this forecast looks basically perfect.

A lot of tents only have one door , the wind may not be blowing in any direction useful for creating a draught. Is there going to be cool wet grass outside everyones tent or the mashed in remains of half a burger that is now rotting in the baking sun? I know which I usually end up with.

Also where is this mythical shade that you speak of? If you are lucky you might find some but most gets snapped up and held onto for as long as it exists.
