What's the funniest thing you've heard a Glastonbury virgin ask?

Not superiority but stupidity on a lot of the people discussed here. Who books a 200 quid festival, 5 days long and doesn't check basic facts like...."where's the kitchen area" or "can i bring a tent". Some of the stuff posted is pretty innocent and understandable but some of it (if true) is unbelievable that people book stuff without basic research

Not funny as such but I really struggle to get friends to go to Glastonbury because it's so far away(thus me going alone), anyway the excuses I get are...

1. it's full of hippies

2. it's pretentious and full of Kate Moss types

3. TITP is just the same

:banghead: these people have never been but feel confident to say such tripe!

Not really Glastonbury related, but when we were on our way to Drownload last year, I was having a ride with my friend and this conversation happened (or somewhat):

"So who's playing? i didn't actually look at the information you send me."

*shows him clashfinder for the tenth time*

"Oh well, you know, I'll just follow you around, and when there's a band I really want to see, I'll go."

....

YOU CAN'T BECAUSE YOU DON'T KNOW WHO THE FUCK IS PLAYING BECAUSE YOU DIDN'T LOOK UP ANYTHING.

I'm sure more can relate....

Sorry for rant.

Ach sorry meant to the got distracted.

If you look at my sig theres some gaps in festies. Main reason, crowd phobia. It took years for other half to persuade me to go to download but we worked out ways to always avoid crushes etc.

Is it actually poss to do that at glastonbury or is that just a stupid q? I know to stand at backs or sides and leave before last song etc but are there any other pinch points?
