No doubt that Noel's debut album was a damn site better than Liam's. what you need to remember is that for people of a certain age (me - I was 16 when Definitely Maybe came out) Liam is an icon of our teenage years, whereas Beyonce was a member of a girl band and no boy or man would be seen dead listening to without fear of being ridiculed!

Obviously that has changed over the years with Oasis splitting and Beyonce and Jay-Z getting their "untouchable" tags, but for me, Oasis and Liam will always be the soundtrack to my teenage years and hence why I will be watching in my teenage eyes, the coolest front man on earth, as opposed to a member of a 90's girl band....

First of all, very stereotypical regarding Destiny's Child, 'No boy or man'... Pretty sure they had a lot of male fans, particularly gay men. Unless you're one of those people who's like 'Ha you listen to Pop...PUFF!'. Also, calling Beyonce a member of a 90's girl band is a bit like calling Michael Jackson a member of a 60's boy band, it just doesn't wash anymore. She's the biggest pop star on the planet.

I get that nostalgia prevails, but Beady Eye are so shit, that seeing them live would just tarnish my memories of when Liam Gallagher was relevant & not a karaoke dad embarrassing himself 24-7.

When Beady Eye performed at the Olympic Closing Ceremony I spent 30 seconds or so wondering if it really was Liam singing, I can't lie. They aren't very mainstream - particularly in comparison to Oasis. And I am, at least according to these boards, a typical age of a V-goer (18), and old enugh to have missed the Britpop era by quite a few years, so whilst the crowd that they do get should be passionate, I just fear it won't be much of one.

Im 18 too and I would choose most newer pop acts over beady eye, but I think ill be splitting my time between KoL and Calvin Harris because I do want to see them both. I dont think Beady Eye should get to headline a stage, but in all fairness its better for them to do it so i dont have a big clash with beyonce and anyone on that slot. Maybe thats why the organisers put them there, especially if they have a pop act supporting Beady Eye

Liam Gallagher is a twat. No two ways about it, the man doesn't have an ounce of intelligence or grace. I appreciate that people of a certain age see him as some sort of god & having seen Oasis live I almost understood why. They were a pop rock band that knew how to get a stadium singing along & I applaud them for that.

But today, he is a joke, a caricature of himself (essentially a hyped up Lennon & Ian Brown mash-up rip off) who says what ever "controversial" thing he can for a bit of media attention to promote his latest bland dad rock record. Everyone else from the "Britpop" era matured & grew up Albarn, Cocker, hell even his own brother Noel, but he still acts like a sad attention seeking teenager.

Plus, the fans that worship LG are often the worst kind of "music" fans. Particularly the younger ones, who think they're "lads" because they know the words to every Oasis song, most Kasabian songs & they own a Pretty Green T-shirt. Do me a favour.

Rant over. :P
