Jeff Hanneman (Slayer) - RIP

One of the true metal greats and pioneers died last night. I'm not that much into metal anywhere however when I was younger I was a Huge Slayer fan, in fact I nearly have all their albums.

I'm sure he will missed, RIP Jeff

bit of a shocker that one, I was aware he was ill, but didnt realise it was this serious. Slayer are a far more important band than they have ever got credit for. Reign in Blood was one of the most important albums of my "formative years"

Hanneman had a massive collection of Nazi WWII memorabilia and made references to them in Slayer songs - you know 'Reign In Blood', 'War Ensemble', 'Angel of Death', 'South of Heaven' - all about Nazis man.

How can you ask that's like sayin' what Slayer and Judge Dredd connection?

Gutted he wasn't at Soni's Big Four bloody Gary Holt!
