Well that type of music anyway. But I do still believe music from 10 years ago, and especially festival line ups like 10 years ago, wont be repeated for some time. Music isnt going back to that yet...if ever

If organisers wanted to book older type bands then they would...apart from V where they are just in for the money. But festivals which claim they are a festival just for good music should be able to book who they want and have older people attend

V is the exception as it does things other fests dont do just for profit, like stage times

They need to take account of European fests and follow suit. Nick Cave, Vampire Weekend, Smashing Pumpkins, Sigur Ros, Depeche Mode, My Bloody Valentine, Neutral Milk Hotel, Placebo, Editors, Queens of the Stone Age, Nine Inch Nails, Portishead, Pixies, Modest Mouse all ought to be a bit more prominent at UK festivals in my opinion. Everyone ought to like at least one of those bands.

On a side note, has anyone thought Bob Dylan might headline somewhere next year? He's got a few UK dates hasn't it

I thought about Glastonbury but I saw him there in 98 in the middle of the afternoon, no idea why he didn't headline though. That was a great day Dylan/nick cave/pulp, stuff of legends for me.

Myself, you and dan have more chance of headlining reading than bob dylan.

Could Bob Dylan not just play the legends slot at Glasto? Doubt Hop Farm will happen next year as it fell flat this year. Hard Rock Calling could still happen but maybe they would move it to another weekend as the same weekend as glasto limits the availability of alot of people.

Yeah the headliners probably are set, but couldn't he headline another stage or play legends slot. I know he is big enough to headline anywhere else pretty much but I think it would come down to how he feels playing whatever certain slot

Thanks, I'll take credit if it happens. Bestival was just in my head after I saw the capacity was increased to 79,999. Presuming that's 80 thousand as Leeds is down to 79,999 now instead of 80k
