As I’m sure many have noticed I’m anti alcohol use as a recreational drug, but I’m also aware that prohibition doesn’t work, it’s actually the cause of most problems with illegal drugs.   For anyone interested in the adverse effects of prohibition I recommend reading “Chasing the Scream”

At last the UN have said that the actions of Israel in Gaza are tantamount to genocide and noted that social media companies are more likely to remove pro Palestinian posts.   This was clear a year ago to anyone paying attention

See, with five albums and possibly a sixth to land alongside a potential headline slot, I think The 1975 tick the "established act" box.    Are they a stadium-shifting behemoth with decades of tuneage behind them? No.    Are they three-time R+L headliners with all of their studio albums hitting number one? Yes.    They would be the senior act in a trio that also features Olivia Rodrigo and Sam Fender, but by the standards of festival headliners, they are well-proven now.
