Testing time. I was tasked with the task of having one single iPod track on repeat through an amp to some headphones - which will need to run continuously for 6 days and nights. If its still working tomorrow night without having burned down the house, I'll consider it a success.

Collected my ticket from the post office depot. Drafted a kit list on the laptop to check off and see what I'm missing (not much). Sacrificed some small children to the weather Gods. Listened to some Chic (again).

Returned today from Wychwood which was a useful dry run for Glasto. Everything worked OK except the caravan got a puncture.

So tomorrow off to get the tyre fixed and also to explore a better jack for the caravan should the same ever happen again.

Today is my first day off since payday, the weather looks prime for pitching and checking over tents (although I have no waterproofing spray yet) and I shall be heading off for alcohol shopping later. I've got a trolley full of gear sat in my kitchen ready to be checked and added to and by the end of the day I intend to be pretty well prepared.

We shall see...

Having received tickets at the weekend preparations can officially begin. Have already bought beer, always get it in early.

Last night got all our festival gear down from the loft, this time including spare tent. We are taking two friends one of whom last went in the 90s and the other has never been. They are coming round on Friday for a pre-Glastonbury meal, to go through what we have so they can see what we take and purchase accordingly. Will open both tents out (one for us, one for them) over the weekend to make sure they are still in working order.

three week tonight we will be leaving, getting excited now!

Did my toiletries shopping yesterday - wet wipes, dry shampoo and suncream! Also ordered some flip flops and vest tops.

Tried to get my vodka from Morrisons but yet again no stock of the Green Mark one that's on offer...

Made list of bits and pieces still too get...mostly food and drink but even though I go camping all the time there is always extra bits to get for Glastonbury :-)

Just got some more green mark voddie as I bet it goes out of stock soon, plenty left in Paignton, got some tooth brushes, cheap to throw away after. Got some sachets of mocha for making at the tent, has milk, sugar and coffee in already, and some hot choc sachets with caramel and hazelnut also, yum, saves a few quid. Had a real dream last night, you know where you wake up and it feels so real... That I kept falling to the floor with my ruck sack on walking down hill of death, because I took way too much stuff, and my sack truck rolled down the hill to be lost forever. Maybe a need a glasto break :D

Patch repairs of our Glasto tent which has been mice dibbled. Bought a small tent off Ebay for £2.20 and now doing the repairs. Actually looks really good and very Glastonbury. Had the same tent for every Glastonbury since 2002 so can't get rid of it now.

Did half an hour on the cross trainer (Hill of Death prep). Took delivery of my ticket an hour ago and now I've managed to contain myself again I'm looking for something heavy to put on my parking sticker to flatten the crease out of it!

This evening I'm putting my tent up to install space blankets between the layers, then I'll see how long I can stand the heat tomorrow morning after it's been left out all night (assuming it's sunny again in the morning of course!)

Can I have some of your throat sweets? Today I am trying to get rid of illness. Horrible coughing caused my voice to almost completely go yesterday and everyone at work was laughing at my tannoy announcements which apparently sounded like daleks :(
