Completely irrelevant. All that means is this years top acts at other fests charge more to go see them. Most likely cus they're better

if they charged more, why is the price to see V acts higher than any other? If being better equals higher ticket price then in your logic v has the better line up :-D the top acts elsewhere aren't charging as much to see them in concert that's why their savings are less, maybe you got it the wrong way round?

I would of thought the best value festival is the one you see the most acts?

Reading/leeds have more days and more stages but I would see more at V.

Just choosing the top 3 acts of a main stage is a bit odd way to do it.

I half agree with that, to me it's more about how many top acts you see rather than just how many acts.

Why are people even giving a crappy Virtual Festival article serious thought?

Beyonce got booed last year, plus of course there was the Cher Lloyd 'incident'. If I had to put money on anyone for this year it'd be James Arthur, as you suggested, or Example. But anyone can turn up and have a bad day.

Why would example get booed? He had the whole crowd bouncing in 2012 and does wherever he goes...

He was a lot better - and more popular - then. He'd had two number ones the year before. His latest stuff hasn't done anywhere near as well, and deservedly so, it's absolutely awful. Okay he might not get booed as such but certainly don't think it's guaranteed that the casual audience waiting around for The Killers will be that fussed. Of course 'Stay with Me' might yet somehow explode into the top three but I doubt it, and with as much attention focussed on Ed Sheeran's album over the next few weeks as looks likely I doubt 'Live Life Living' will get much of a look in either. I guess we'll see though..

In all fairness they did have amazing album called "All saints" which i brought back in the day I thought they might struggle tosing live after a long time out of it but you are right they do have great sing a long songs that the crowd can sing.

Going back a bit from a previous post I did ages ago but their is a good article on bbc radio 1 newsbeat website about the lack of female comedians at festivals and v was mentioned heavily as on the original comedy lineup not one female (two added since).

Just seen this on the V website FAQ's

'There is an overnight area at both Hylands and Weston Parks. There will be other entertainment including (new for 2014) a Silent Disco on Friday and Saturday nights.

Once the arena is closed you can remain in a section of the arena that stays open (The Village) if you have a weekend camping ticket or return to your tent. Some food and drink stalls and funfair rides will remain open.'

Wonder how big the silent disco will be, and how big The Village will be.

I went to the Silent Disco last year on the Friday night, so not sure whats going to be "new for 2014", not sure if there was one on sat night, so maybe that's what's new. Also there was a Village the last couple of years as well??? and one of the tents showed movies all night.......

The only silent disco's I saw were the ones in the Carling tent, maybe V are doing separate ones. The Arena showed 2 films after the Indie Disco in the Arena, but not all night. I dont know about the village bit, I just know some of the arena was open but I didnt know it was called the village.

MTV Club DJ's doing the disco at Hylands starts at 7pm this year for anyone wanting to go to that
