DomDom1984
Editors were third from the top on second stage at T. Not quite a different festival.
Matt42
Chase and Status are doing shows in the UK (Boardmasters, Sundown) in August very close to V so I reckon they are very likely for a big slot. i'd be more inclined to think they are a sub, but they could be a second stage headline. daniel.k
I'd think chase and status would sub main as that's what they did at Reading. If they headlined mtv stage then I would hope they were against JT
Pothuthic
If I go and C&S I'm gonna avoid it like the plague, I do like their music, but I don't think I could be around that sort of chav crowd, I know everyone you see there's normally chava, but chase and status are known for having one of the chavviest crowds
daniel.k
I'd guess most people that are going last year and this year that saw Calvin would see C&S. The people I was around weren't too bad at Calvin Harris so I aren't too worried. Unless they clash with someone we really want to see I think I'd be seeing them. Can someone clarify if the prodigy are even a possibility as I thought they were exclusive for sonisphere

daniel.k
I'm sure I saw somewhere they were exclusive but I have no idea where. As they are headlining sonisphere would they take anything less than headline at V?
DomDom1984
Sonisphere is a different beast, so aye.
Com Truise
not really aren't they a bit too ego-centric to get a shit slot at an allegedly shit festival or is that someone else? fuck i'm tired definitely don't think so, from headlining fests in Europe to playing fifth at R&L and doing an academy tour, yet putting in the same effort for each and every show, it's clear that they appreciate whatever they can get
Matt42
If prodigy do V it'l explain why they are close to reading and not playing it... Seeing as they are one of the most requested reading acts year after year. I still can't see the prodigy doing V NOW... if you get what I mean.
daniel.k
Maybe prodigy are waiting and waiting to do reading so it's even bigger when they do it. I'd like to see prodigy but if I don't ever see them I wouldn't be too down.

daniel.k
I didn't find any crowds top bad all weekend really, even some of the people for Beyonce were annoying but I managed with it. Has anyone else seem the pictures V has uploaded to their Facebook? Do you think they could mean anything by them?

Must be thinking of someone else. Cheers. The people I was around weren't too bad at Calvin Harris so I aren't too worried. You were lucky. Yes the people that were at Calvin around me weren't awful, but there were a few idiots You were lucky. We saw his warm up fuck buddy Rita Ora before him and the crowd waiting for him was absolutely fucking terrible. Then we went and saw Jamie Cullum instead and it was the most pleasant crowd of the weekend. Happy days. Has anyone else seem the pictures V has uploaded to their Facebook? Do you think they could mean anything by them? No. Other than reinforcing the new colour scheme.
Bunny
I have been posting on these boards now for 10 years, and there is only one comment I can make about V2014 - this is the dullest and most uninspiring (and that says something) build up to an announcement ever.... maybe that's a blessing in disguise? Com Truise
Ah right okay. Must be thinking of someone else. Cheers. Beady Eye? Also, re C&S, the crowd was horrible at Leeds, C&S were good, but it was full of dickheads, I'd say it wasn't helped by Eminem being on afterwards, but the crowd was fine afterwards for him. If they played V, I'd wager that the crowd would be just as shite

As it stands right now, who would bigger/deserves a bigger spot at V; The Prodigy or C&S based on V's demographic

Welcome back Bunny pal, haven't heard from you in a while the wait has been killing me to find out who's at V but now we're only 10 days away I'm glad we're in the position we're in where literally everything except maybe one headliner will be a surprise...take that over R&L drip-feeding info so slowly that everything gets so overanalysed that it doesn't seem exciting anymore. Zac are you sure you just didnt get an unlucky place. Where abouts were you? About a quarter of the way back but pretty central-ish. Beady Eye? Also, re C&S, the crowd was horrible at Leeds, C&S were good, but it was full of dickheads, I'd say it wasn't helped by Eminem being on afterwards, but the crowd was fine afterwards for him. If they played V, I'd wager that the crowd would be just as shite No someone similar to Elbow, sub festivals loads and are always talked about stepping up but never seeming to finally do it. Not looking forward to the Kanye crowd at Wireless. It's in the roughest area of Birmingham, fuck knows why, if it wasn't such a rare opportunity I'd give it a miss. I found the crowd alright with Rita in Hylands Like I said, you were obviously lucky!!! They got involved, it wasn't bad from that point of view, it was just everything else...got more piss thrown over me during that 50 minutes than during the whole of the rest of the weekend. Maybe it is Elbow, I hear Guy Garvey is a bit of a prick. The Black Keys? They're pretty egotistical
