Some Friday afternoon Man United stats for your delectation:

1) In the 39 games David Moyes has been in charge of Man United he has not picked the same XI twice. For those unsure, I do not mean he hasn't kept an unchanged team between consecutive fixtures, I mean that he has named 39 entirely different lineups this season. Seriously. It's amazing.

2) Points wise, Man United are closer to West Ham than Chelsea.

3) Man City have won more league games by a 2+ goal margin (13) than Man United have won league games (12)

I'd have to agree with you here, in the brief time where it looked like we could get top 4, i always said i'd rather get top 4. You don't get remembered in 50 years time for coming 4th in the league, but you do get remembered for winning countless trophies, with the new CL deal set to kick in the season after next, if you thought there was a gap with the Sky 4, a few years back, the premier league is set to get a whole lot more boring and predictable when that kicks in.

But, i'd loved a trophy either way, but one day of happiness, won't be what CL could do to a club like ours.

At the same token, i'm certainly not accusing you of this, far from it, but some of my red mates, have came up with that token line 'The cup is shit, we want 4th' since you've got knocked out, but just makes me laugh, everyone loves a cup run!

how webb is still the top english ref is beyond any sensible reasoning. he has shown in the past month that he is half the ref that he once was, yet the FA still seem to want to back him even though he has got progressively worse over time. he's got no chance of getting one of the major games this summer, should be embarrassed with the mistakes he's made today.

I usually like your posts in this thread, but that is the biggest pile of shite I've read on here. He gave a much softer penalty and the one he didn't give was as much of a stonewaller as you'll find and arguably the worst refereeing decision I've ever seen at that level.

EDIT: Victim blaming doesn't stand in any form anywhere. This includes football.

Even if reputation DOES play a part with Suarez, it was a total stonewall penalty right in front of the referee, and on the basis of your first post on it, you clearly thought it was rightly rather than wrongly. Victim blaming in other words.

If it was the first one, you could see why that mentality would have an effect ( although that was a penalty too ), but the second? There's no excuses. None. It was a shocker and Webb made yet another horrific call.
