I'd like to think so :P

I've got this worry that it'll be WBA. I think West Ham upwards SHOULD all be safe, but all the teams in the bottom half have a bad run in them.

While Pulis has probably kept Palace up, I'm still hopeful they could drop. They've still got Chelsea, Everton, City and Liverpool to play so I suspect they're going to need to win one or two of the away 6-pointers they have to come. Annoyingly I think they'll do it.

I'm a Fulham fan - still hopeful we can get out of it but it does look more and more unlikely. Our last 7 fixtures are all winnable, granted we probbaly need 15 points from them! I just believe its kinda possible as no one else is picking up wins and there is a decent team there if they sort themselves out.

Think its far more likely we'll just fade out and be down before May mind, but with the fixtures we have it is possible for a bit of form to lead to a decent uptake of points.

We were in a far worse position last time we stayed up :P.

I know the devils in the detail but my initial instinct is that the "league of nations" is a bad idea. I don't think international football needs another major tournament. I suspect it will just be about the big nations making their money and forgetting everyone else. I also feel friendlies have their place, even if they are not always taken seriously.

Well Liverpool got the all important 3 points tonight but is was edge of the seat stuff in the end. Their defense is too shaky for them not to drop points in the run in IMO. They will go close but no cigar most likely. They really do have to win all games IMO and its a massive ask

Its a well intriguing race this year

Chelsea do seem to have the easier fixtures/run in but they still have CL to contend with and they may get past PSG, which will make them a very busy team indeed

If City get 9 points from their next 3 games its theirs IMO. Arsenal and Liverpool away and a tricky game against the Saints at home.

Seriously unlucky for Hull City last night, they outplayed WHU for most of the game, despite having 10 men. The sending off of McGregor was uncalled for, yes he did foul the attacker, but only because the ball was no longer there because of a handball. An ugly 3 points for WHU.

At least we travelled back up the M1 with a bit of pride in the performance.

Also, that referring performance by Friend last night was as strange and suspect as I can remember. Very odd.

yep - there seemed to be an awful lots of fouls against Liverpool players which weren't penalised.

So it was a result for Liverpool after all last night, but I don't think I was so far away in expecting them to fuck it up. It got a bit squeaky by the end.

But anyway, it's probably good that it wasn't all-guns-blazing cos I don't think Liverpool can do that for two games in a row ()based on how they went in the last City & Chelsea games). So they should be pumped up for Spurs, relax a little against WHU, pump it up again for City, relax a little against Norwich (all except Suarez, anyway :P), and then destroy Chelsea.

I know, I know... :P

Although I suspect all sides competing for something will have similar incidents where they say what may have been. To be fair on Toure and other Liverpool defenders who have made errors, the Liverpool midfield is not set up to offer them much protection, which makes errors more likely.

WHU Hull was never going be a pretty game of football but bloody hell! Happy enough with 3 points but yeah the West Ham performence was absolutely dire. Neither team really deserved to get anything from that game so yeah one of those where it comes down to a tad of luck and as TheGayTent said cancels out the reverse fixture really.

I don't like the booing especially after a win and wouldn't do it personally but I can fully understand why West Ham fans did last night. There is a serious problem when you can't take full advantage of a 10 man Hull side!
