Worst we've played in a couple months today.

I wouldn't worry. Liverpool have managed to raise their game rfor all rthe big matches this season apart from at Chelsea (which immediately followed a game at City were they'd raised their game).

I'd be more worried for next weekend if they'd have played well yesterday.

Its difficult to make much of an assessment they have played their 2 rivals for the title and lost both times. However they have played both away, so we are into unknown territory to some extent. It should certainly be interesting.

it's not difficult to make the assessment of them raising their game for the big matches tho, as they've managed to do that for just about all of them (there have been one or two exceptions).

Really looking forward to Wembley on Sunday. The old cynic in me has been ebbing away, and excitement building all weekend, especially after Hull City have pretty much secured an EPL spot for next season, we can take a deep breath and have a serious crack at the FA cup.

I cant actually remember the chelsea away game in terms of how they played.

it's the worse of all the games they've played against the top 7, except perhaps when they went to the Emirates.

While Liverpool weren't awful, they weren't near the top of their game as they'd been the week before when they'd played City.

These games of course are there 2 hardest home games of the season. I dont anticipate it being handed to them on a plate like other "big" opposition eg arsenal, spurs, man utd.

Hmmmm....

Everton didn't hand it to them on a plate, and nor did Arsenal. Liverpool went and stole the plate from their hands.

I'm not really thinking that they'll do similar against City or Chelsea, but to pretend that their good results is because teams rolled over for them is about as biased as it gets. The better team wins, the much better team wins by a margin; there's been enough of those bigger margins to show they're not just flukes.

It's basically a two horse race at the moment. It's in Liverpool and Man City's hands as to wether they win the title, as if either of them win all their games, they are champions.

Chelsea's fate is in others hands: if they win all their games, they still won't be champs.

Everton's Champion league hopes are also in their hands. If they win all their games, they will get Chumps. Though they have a lot harder a run in than Arsenal ( Man City for example!)

I see city and chelsea as being different to everton and arsenal in the way they should make that plate more difficult to steal.

absolutely. They're better teams.

I don't think city will play a game that plays into Liverpools hands, I also think that if city go behind, they will have more belief about recovering the situation. I still think a Liverpool win is more likely than a city one, but I would favour the draw.

I think Liverpool are more likely to beat City than Chelsea, but I'm not particularly thinking they'll do either. I think that can beat both of them, but everything will depend on how well each team plays on the day.

If I had to make a bet, I'd go for one point for Liverpool from both matches. Take your pick for which team gives them that point.
