Nowhere have I said they'd be run down. I merely said it's a logical possibility, because that's one of the few ways that the finances can be made to work.

Another way is to gamble to try and get back to the top. It turns to shit very VERY fast if they fail with that tho.

Yeah it was always unlikely they'd spring the ban on the them without some time to prepare, this way they give them this Summer to do some deals, reduce the ban so that they miss the window next January and then can buy again next Summer and still claim to be punishing them. A weak Barca doesn't do FIFA any favours, just look at their shirts.

Manchester United have asked relevant people what the situation with Messi is, because the impression they get is that the Barcelona board want to sell him. I know for a fact the matter has been discussed at board level and as a consequence, PSG stuck a huge offer on the table.

Personally I'm absolutely loving the thought of Van Gaal and a £150M kitty, cos that has the very real potential to financially cripple Utd for decades.

You only have to look at how Chelsea did with many of their "best in the world" managers to see that there's no more guarantee of success with a big name than there is from anyone.

The only thing it does get Utd is slightly better players than they'll otherwise be able to attract as a non-CL club.
