If Liverpool win the next 2 games that's 16 out of 17 wins, if that's not good enough than you hold your hands up and congratulate the winner. It's harsh to say a club have bottled it because they failed to win 17 in a row.

They didn't bottle it at all, they just didn't know how to work out Chelsea's tactics.

That's why Brenda should have a plan b, which he doesn't from what I can see. If they want to go on to be successful in the next 5 years teams are not just going to open up and let them play.

So all the plaudits Liverpool have deservedly got this season, the style probably cost them today.

I agree there should be a plan b, but they don't have the players on the bench to make that possible. Their only option was to keep plan a and hope it works, to be fair it has got them close. Chelsea and city have more options but that's down to throwing huge amount of money and running at a loss, Liverpool want to make a profit, so it's a different game completely. For all the talk about Chelsea B, if you compare transfer fee paid and salary with liverpools first 11, I suspect Chelsea b is higher on both.

He hasn't got a plan b because of the size of the squad. We brought on Sturridge and then the best attacking option was Aspas! When you have the squad the size of Chelsea and 20 odd players on loan you can have a plan b, and c and more than likely d.

Liverpool weren't good enough today. That's pretty much the short of it. You can talk about the tactics and the negativity and the likes, but defence is just as big a part of football as attack, and I normally treat anyone who says "anti-football" with nothing but the contempt that they deserve.

To suggest that the fud that is Mourinho would get an easy ride on this because it's him is a shambles of a point. A lot of folk can see through him, but at the same time, the job in football is to win games and he set Chelsea out to do just that today.

Apparently Mourinho had a dig at Jamie Redknapp today. Did anyone see this?

All a bit knee jerk isn't it? I think we do have a plan B.

We have beaten teams in different ways - look at the difference between how we cruised against Spurs/United/Norwich earlier in season and how we ground out victories against Norwich and Sunderland recently.

Today we lost. Teams do that.

The suggestion that they bottled it is a bit much.

They lost due to 2 things. A crappy mistake and an inability to breakdown a very good and organised Chelsea defense. They had chances but could not finish their dinner.

Chelsea do what Cheslea do and they did it well. They set up not to loose the game and won it by getting a lucky break

The games Chelsea lost this year were all ones they were trying to win.

Liverpool could have easily lost this game if they tried to play for a draw. They lost it trying to win it
