eFestivals
It won't be giggs, needs to go and learn his trade rather than being in van gaal coaching set up.No idea why you lot think giggs is in the frame, no chance.I imagine van gaal will be announced sooner rather than later.I agree that it won't be Giggs, but ...Everything has been about how Moyes failed because he didn't do things "the Man Utd way" and how Giggs has been put in charge to do things "the Man Utd way".It seems that "the Man Utd way" is about how easy it is to confuse many of the Man Utd fans. Or how to shag your bruv's wife, one or the other.
eFestivals
Giggs will be in the frame by default. Even if it's just to give a respectful glance to him and bypass him, he'll be in the frame.Nope.The Glazers want a guarantee that they won't be bankrupt in 2 years time. Giggs is way outside what any exec will be prepared to offer any guarantee about. It's not about who might be best in the manager's job, it's about those execs keeping their own jobs.As the saying used to go in the computer world (until it became untrue): "no one ever got sacked for buying IBM".If you take the safe choice, you can't be blamed when things go wrong. TheGayTent
What's amazing about some of the great Dutch players and teams is how ordinary they would have been were in not for their Surinamese born stars and others who weren't born there but were of Surinamese descent (and eligible to play for Suriname). Aron Winter Patrick Kluivert Ruud Gullit Frank Rijkaard Edgar Davids Michael Reizinger Clarence Seedorf Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink Michel Vorm Ryan Babel Nigel de Jong Winston Bogarde Certainly in the late 90s Suriname could have had a bloody good team ! The Nal
This is a genuine question. I have no idea to the answer. What experience did Guardiola have before he took the Barcelona job? Edited April 29, 2014 by The Nal
TheGayTent
But Pep created a sort of new football style and implemented that.

eFestivals
Here you go again, statements where you can't back up with hard facts. It's been reported like that by all the same reporters who knew Moyes was getting sacked before Moyes did, and who knew Mata was signed before Mata did.But I can't back it up, nooooo. OK, i've stretched it a little from more than just "a guarantee" to "a guarantee that they won't be bankrupt in 2 years time" but it's the guarantee bit that is the important part of what they're demanding. eFestivals
So give me the link of a report that says the glaziers could be bankrupt in 2 years?I see you can't read my words. That aside, you can find plenty of expert speculation that that's very possible, if you care to google. It can only ever be speculation, because fraudsters always do their best to hide their fraud (as the Glazers now do in Delaware).

eFestivals
Speculation haha..Glad we have cleared that up.The "guarantee" bit isn't speculation.Care to take a stab at why the Glazers are in desperate need of "a guarantee" of success from the club? eFestivals
Again show me a direct quote from united that the new manager must win the league? That's like saying last week that you wanted a statement from Utd before you'd believe that Moyes was going to be sacked. If you're not able to recognise how Utd are working some stuff via the media (such as the recruitment campaign for their new manager), there's nothing no one can tell you. eFestivals
Very true but some of the players not of Surinamese descent over the years have been a tad special tooand, supposedly, most of the failures of the Dutch squad over the same period is the result of those two different 'sides' not mixing at all (bar RvP, as I understand it - born the wrong side of the tracks). eFestivals
So again just more speculation, surprised you take the Daily Mail as the gospel. The fact that you seem to think every Utd story comes from the Mail only reveals what you read. eFestivals
God yeah never said I didn't, you're a bit like scousers who say they don't read the sun but know what's in there. For some of us in this world, a quick read thru of the Beeb's gossip summary each day is all we need to avoid all tabloids and not notice which tabloid the story might be from. Those who are a bit thick read the tabloids, and know which tabloid the story comes from. You think the Utd stories are from the Mail.Nuff said. thetime
What's going to be interesting when van gaal takes over is Rooney. No doubt RVP will be the main guy again and Rooney will need to play second fiddle, then again he might play mata in the number 10 position. Rooney should just play centre midfield and he seems perfect for that position. He can pass, shoot, tackle, good engine and organise from there if he becomes captain.
