I like the fact that Liverpool have put out a fairly strong side today in a game where their second team could probably win. Theres no European football and therefore no need to be resting players too often, I think the team is one which will both continue positive momentum but also give a few fringe players a chance.

As a Welsh fan Im also glad to see Ramsey starting the season well. I worried for him after his big injury and also felt he was overplayed out of necessity at times when his confidence was low. Its early days but if he continues the form he could be a big player for Arsenal.

I love the league cup when teams actually go out to win matches. Some squad players sure, understandable rather than your start XI....but it shouldn't be a sacrifice to youth players unless you've been unlucky with injuries.

Good game against Cheltenham last night, for a league 2 side their fans came in numbers and made alot of noise!. They made a great show of themselves to and I really thought they might have nicked a goal to force extra time. (Which is what's great about the League Cup, one game, once chance to progress to the next round. It's exciting)

Only worry for me, is how the West Ham players didn't seem to cop on that booting the ball long didn't work against a side with tall and strong defenders. Just a complete waste of effort with Vaz Te up front.

How do we know that? I know he hasnt attended training but has there been a statement from spurs. I would have thought it would be in both player and clubs interest for him not to train at present. Bale doesnt want to miss out on the move but Im certain Spurs dont want to miss out on 100 million euros either.

Reports from sky that we're asking Chelski if we can get Ba on loan.

Not too sure about that. He didn't combine great with Cisse, and if he's on loan then it's not like they're properly in competition... If Ba comes back, does well, then next summer we're still short of strikers and Cisse will have been restricted to fewer appearances, fewer goals, and probably look to leave himself and we'll be even worse off.

I still think we need creative players more than finishers at the moment. Cisse+Remy should be enough firepower if our midfielders and wingers can chip in with goals, as long as they get a supply. I think our priority should be a CAM and another winger, with a striker if there's still the money left.
