Heartbreaking for Atletico, they were so close. They should still be proud though, they've had an incredible season.

I'm glad to see Madrid win it though, they have played brilliantly in Europe this season. I'm happy for Bale too, justifying that price tag just that little bit more.

Bale should have won it 3 times before he put that header in. You can forgive one miss but there was poor decision making as well as bad shots. He's clearly not been a flop overall, but that wasn't a game where he secured a truly top class status.

Di Maria was just spectacular. Lots of hard work off the ball as well as the most dangerous attacker. That run for Bale's goal though... phenomenal performance. And yeah, I can't see them letting him go. I think Ozil was more a thing of they decided they'd rather have Isco - probably partially because of nationality - and Ozil didn't want to fight for his place.

Agreed it wasn't Bales day, then again its the sign of a top class player that they can be off their game and still be in the right position in a game like that. I thought he was the most effective of the Ronaldo, Benzema/Bale trio, because at least he was creating chances. I cant remember Benzema doing anything the whole game and you wonder whether they will be looking to upgrade, or at least provide competiton.
