United had the worst summer there. Not great signings and manager change was always a downgrade. They won the league by a lot last year though so if RVP stays fit they will have a chance. Nonetheless a poor summer.

Arsenal got a big one, and a good one. Got to be happy-ish even if not every problem is solved. Giroud always improving too.

Spurs have a lot of good players in but will short-term miss Bale's goals due to transition. If they can get new players to gel quickly they will be more than fine though.

Chelsea did ok. Not spectacular but young team was improving anyway, should have kept Lukaku.

Man City bought well as they should. Think they will win the league.

Liverpool built on January and improved the squad depth whilst addressing defensive issues. Kept Suarez.

Everton had a very good last hour. Will improve on recent showings.

City/arsenal have poor strikers in comparison with RVP/Rooney/Hernandez/wellbeck.

eh?

Care to remind me how many goals Welbeck scored last season?

(or Hernandez, come to that).

I really can't see Chelsea winning the league with eto'o, Torres and ba.

short memory?

Chelsea were hardly a goal machine last time Moaniho was there. It's all about where the bus is parked.

The same can be said for arsenal there not going to be anywhere close to the league with giroud/podolski.

except of course they have a fair number of players banging in the goals. They rely on their striker(s) less than (most of?) the others. Edited by eFestivals

Well depends how optimistic or negative you are?

City/arsenal have poor strikers in comparison with RVP/Rooney/Hernandez/wellbeck. I think every team has got his weakness and city really struggle when kompany isn't there.

Don't agree as vidic only played half the league games last season and only 6 the season before that.

Man utd usually have players to step up for missing players which is why I think we will easily finish top 2.

*although I did say we would beat Liverpool by 2 clear goals aswel.

The thing is, lots of people have been looking at Man U's squad for years and thinking it's a bit weak on quality. There's always been a psychological factor at Man U of winning mentality, winning habit, opponent's fearing them, ref decisions, etc. that's meant the team's remained competitive at the top level, however lots of people are attributing that to Fergie - and even moreso now he's gone. It could well be that the squad and players retain that belief, arrogance and psychology under Moyes, but it's hard to be confident of that. Add in greater and superior investment at other clubs, and Mourinho returning to Chelsea, it makes it very hard to think Man U will be as much of a force as they were - particularly when they've already lost a game.

A. Chelsea and city have been spending vast amounts for years.

B. we lost first game last season.

Now if your attributing it to Fergie fair enough I can't argue with that, being totally written of with no facts is way of in my opinion. Are we still going to challenge for titles in the next 5 years? Yes are we going to win as many titles without Fergie? Probably not.

Same force? No written of to 4th/5th this season? No your being silly with nothing to back it up.

Folk say city are stronger, I would say there weaker with losing balotelli/tevez this year.
