The Nal
Amazingly looks right. Only Wenger (1996) and Paul Tisdale of Exeter (2006) were in front of him. According to Wiki anyway!
kaosmark2
Isn't part of the thing at lower league clubs that managers that are successful get pinched by ones further up the ladder?

kaosmark2
That certainly happens, but I am certain if you analyzed the stats there is far more sacking than poaching. Edited September 9, 2013 by kaosmark2
The Nal
I wonder what the stats are in countries like Germany, Italy, Spain, Brazil etc? ie Countries who win things.

The Nal
Their lower leagues aren't as strong as ours though? Certainly their 2nd divisions, and not many have 4 divisions of professional teams (and the conference is effectively professional now). Italy and Spain certainly have a reputation in their top league for hiring and firing quickly. I can't imagine there's a vast increase in longevity further down. pink_triangle
Some countries in Italy can have 4 or 5 managers a season, dont know what its like further down the pyramid.
pink_triangle
Wrexham 5 managers (3 sacked/mutual constent and 1 poached) in 20 years. Soon to be 6 the way we have started the season! I suspect most lower league clubs are double/treble those numbers.

eFestivals
Newspapers reporting it as fact this morning. Well and truly fucked if it's bad as feared .......still at least Carlton "Overchuffed" Cole will have time to get his fitness up and get a contract :Slooks like you have a new striker!http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/24028953

LondonTom
Rather dull game last night and England seemed to fall apart from the moment Theo took that knock and more so when Jack Wilshere went off. (Though Ukarine had already seemed to be getting on top of us in the 2nd half I guess). Still we didn't concede in a tough away match so there are positives. The media need to realize that the other "lesser" countries are actually pretty good at the game to. I don't know why they are shocked to find Jack isn't the greatest player ever yet . Given his age and injuries, no his not yet going to be "Paul Scholes or Gascoigne" and able to change the game on his own, is he?! ffs
