But anyway, who says it'll be Spurs or Liverpool that deny Utd their human right ( :P) of guaranteed Chumps footie?

Soton have got draws at both OT and Anfield.

And Everton are looking pretty good too, as long as Barry doesn't spend most of the season suspended for outrageous tackles. ;)

Horrible draw for the WC Qualifiers there.

Greece and Romania, christ.

Would love to see Iceland make it though, that would be real fairytale stuff that, but can they do it?

Don't like Portugal, but it'd be a travesty if Ronaldo wasn't at a World Cup, and we all know how bad Ukraine are, so why where they ranked higher than France?

Nice, and good for England with the potential for one of our two Bogey teams to get eliminated (and if Greece and the Ukarine can do a job that would be great..we've not got a great record against Croatia either?).

Though i suspect we won't end up playing these this time due to not being seeded.

Yeah was always going to happen. But accepting its a failure already after 8 games is silly.

Shite start though don't get me wrong but he'll get time from me anyway. He needs to start being more aggressive though. He hasn't really "got" Utd yet.

I'm going to the Fergie book signing/speaking engagement thing in a few weeks. I'll hit him up for some info.

After 8 games? Nah. 80 maybe. It'll be at least this time next year before that starts to happen with any conviction. Even if most fans are on the "Moyes Out" boat. Any manager needs a couple of transfer windows and a year to shift around coaching staff, scouting and the like.

but after 80 games of Moyes being crap there won't be a Man Utd, apart from in the bankruptcy courts. :P

In fairness, a lot of people (non LFC fans) took the same attitude to Rodgers when a lot of Liverpool fans weren't on board at all. And now look. And Wenger is a big hero now again after one good signing.

You have a point there, tho i find it hard to see Utd as a major team with just one new signing. As you've admitted in the past, Utd players were playing above themselves under fergie - which hasn't been the case of players in the other 'top' teams.

It's not a signing they need, it's the sort of belief and desire (and perhaps fear of fergie) that they had under fergie.

Always takes time. As it did with Fergie.

time that Utd don't have.

Unless he won his first game 10 nil it was always going to be like that. It was predictable and boring before Ferguson even retired. Have been hearing since the mid 90s "Oh when Fergie goes you'll be fucked haha" etc etc.

I can see why too. I've no issue with it to be honest. Can live with it, as you said.

Yep, it's been said so many times that people are being hesitant in saying it now, me included. But I reckon it's got to the point where it can be said.

Times have changed. Utd need owners with deep pockets to ride out the change, and they've not got it.

My take on the summer was that it was all bluff to keep fans on side, and while they over-paid for Fellani I think that was done as it was the only game in town.

A signing in January? I can't see a big one happening, and a small one won't sort Utd out.
