It doesn't effect the main fans but it does the floating fans. The 3 most popular teams in wrexham are probably man utd, Liverpool and wrexham and we are third on that list. If either of those teams play a big lunchtime game on Saturday or champions league on a Tuesday it definitely eats into our attendances.

the BBC News channel were running a breaking news banner thing across the bottom of the screen late yesterday afternoon saying something like "FIFA ban 4 English players and one Australian for match fixing" .... and I've not managed to find anything about it since. I'm starting to think I imagined it.

Anyone know anything?

Enjoyed the Arsenal game, that midfield is a joy to watch. I thought Liverpool were ok, but their midfield looks even less impressive than man utds to me. 5 points is nothing at this point but any gap offers some margin for error. I also thought Redknapp was stretching the truth a little when interviewing Ramsey by trying to give the impression that Gerrard is a regular 20 goal a season player.

A lot of talk about Hughton and Jol being in trouble. To be honest I don't see what changing manager will achieve in either situation. No evidence that changing manager improves things, I can see why Sunderland would change when PDC personality was clearly rubbing some players up the wrong way, but I don't see who either Fulham or Norwich could bring in that could do anything that the current incumbents could not.

10 games into the season and the top of the table is looking good so far, Arsenal leading the pack, but the other 6 of last seasons top 7 all bunched up within 3 points of each other. For all the talk about Man utds demise they have managed to hold on to the chasing pack. I still dont see them missing out on top 4.

Spurs are the club I find most difficult to assess, they have been average all season, their new signings are taking time to adapt, they have had some of the kindest officiating of the season and are very lucky to be in joint second place. Im not sure if their luck will run out, or things will click in the attacking area and their solid defence will keep them in touch at the top of the table. I still think 5th is most likely.

Also would be very happy to be an everton fan after their start. With most of the media interest focussing on liverpool and arsenal good starts, man utds and man citys shortcomings and Mourinhio back at chelsea, they have got on their work quietly and flown under the radar in some respects. However they have accumulated a similar points total to all (bar arsenal) of their more glamarous competiton.

I reckon it's still hard to know how Arsenal will go. They've not had much in the way of tough games so far.

Tho after Saturday I'd still say they look like the real deal... while Liverpool don't.

But you're right about Everton. With the inconsistencies of all the other teams they could creep up on the outside and nick a top 4 spot.

All defenders make mistakes, but I think Toure has done ok for liverpool, better than I expected. Im not sure the liverpool defence is a problem, to me it looks solid if not spectacular. To me liverpools lack of attacking options (both midfielder and backup to S&S) are more a problem. They look very reliant on just 2 people to score all the goals, when things are tough you look at the bench and its hard to see who is going to come on and change a game.
