The Merseyside derby was everything that is good about our football from an entertainment perspective. Lacking in quality in terms of defending and particularly midfielders constantly giving the ball away. However great end to end stuff with a nice element of controversy mixed in. In the context of the game the draw was a fair result, although in a race for top 4 football both may see it as 2 points dropped.

Im not sure Jol can hold on after a home defeat to Swansea, I suspect however Hughton will be given a bit more time. A great win for Palace, Pulis is probably right to take the job, its one of those cases this season of everything to gain and nothing to lose. If they are still in touching distance come the next transfer window and he buys the right players they may have a chance If they are relegated and he fails in the championship he will end up with a nice pay off.

I also saw the second half of Dortmund V Bayern, 0-3 did not reflect the game that I saw at all. Considering their injury problems I thought Dortmund equipped themselves well with injury problems but failed to take their chances when they came and were punished.

Spurs may have had a very ordinary start to the season, yet are still 2 points off top 4 and only 4 off Liverpool who most would say have had a very good start. Man city away is one of the toughest games in word football, while spurs shouldn't have lost by 6, there is no shame in losing. Spurs have changed the squad significantly which puts themselves at a disadvantage compared to the likes of city, chelsea and arsenal. A lot of their new players have moved to a country with complete different language and culture, they may take time to settle or maybe never will adapt to England.

They have definitely made mistakes in the transfer window, but I'm not sure if avb chooses the players.

Oh I completely agree with all that, I just find it funny.

I also think Man U's result at Cardiff is actually decent as well, they beat City and certainly aren't pushovers. The issue is that it showed Moyes up as a defensive coach again, and that Cleverley's shit.

Sort of. Would have preferred Allen to score and a dull 3-1 though.

Aren't you just glad because you're an Everton fan? :DWas an awful tackle mind, worse than the one it is supposed revenge for - although Rooney's was a more surprising decision as if he sees a kick he has to give red not yellow.

There were a few dodgy decisions, Mirallas' 'revenge' attack on Suarez should have seen him go, and that would probably have ruined the game like a sending off like that usually does. Glad it didn't happen, thought it was a fantastic game.

Interesting that Chelsea rejects had such a hand in it, I'm not sure it was the wisest decision letting go of Lukaku, and Sturridge, that must be added pressure on Moanio

Bad challenge. Red Card, it should have been, but that's Liverpools fault not, ours or the refs, had the Physio not darted on screaming Red Card, and then causing unrest, i'm 100% sure he'd of went.

But saying that, Rodgers interview at the end, along the lines of 'Suarez never dives, when he goes down, it's serious', followed by 'Terrible challenge worthy of a red card any day of the week', which is true, but given Suarez, two horror challenges last year, he came out with 'Strikers challenge', make your mind up

Great wins for Arsenal and Dortmund.

Awful from Chelsea. 0 points against Basel without even a shot on target in the second game? Horrendous. Can't believe they've qualified despite horrendous negativity.

Ajax win opens up Group H a bit more, still can't see them qualifying but makes the competition for top spot tenser.
