I do think they'll need a big 2nd headliner with them. It's copying download but C&S would be a very sensible subbing act for them there especially

Yeah I do, but it's hard to really tell with them as the new album is always supposedly coming 'next year' but doesn't seem to materialize so maybe they'll take some more time off the major festival scene and headline another dance one like this year. Bestival is always a possibility too.

But I'm kinda expecting Muse and Prodigy for V as it just sounds right. Read somewhere Muse have 2 Uk shows next year (No idea if what I read was legit lol) and given its too soon for R/L, its about time for V again. If any of this big Soni headliner stuff is true too, wouldn't rule out it being Muse they're after but thats just pure speculation - don't think Metallica would of messed them around this long and AC/DC I can't see playing festivals again given how odd the Download booking ended up (stages shut early, less bands, own stage, not on merch etc.)

I think as long as its a significantly different show, ie a new album tour then it's fine to start repeating headliners.

I think bestival could get something like The XX, The Pixies and Beck

He didn't headline at all in 2004, there was no 'getting round it', so to speak.

Oh really? That's interesting. If so, I'd assume V and IOW would be the most likely, as they haven't done either for a while.

exactly, they don't have many other really good options left, so anything will seem poor in comparison
