PDAD
you maybe right going by the in between fact but i have kinda agreed that's what they are. but if they are one of 3 lined up i'll be surprised. I've thought Fleetwood Mac since it didn't happen this year, the only thing that stopped it was seemingly the fact of their own tour plans but they still wanted to do it. Mick and Stevie have said they want to, Eavis has not ducked away at from his liking for them. but if that's two of them, i think there will still be a radio chart friendly header there, elbow pull in a massive amount of older fans. they'll need an arctics style booking and if arctics can return to play the friday, so can kol. that's gives you young crowd, old crowd, split
thewayiam
Yeah, i think you could be right about FM and the subsequent need for a more current 3rd headliner. But KOL? I think they're a bit of a bland booking and it's not overly difficult to see them so would they really draw that much of a crowd? Then again, i dunno who else.. thesecretingredientiscrime
the end of this says it all? who else? exactly the issue that the rest have, who is current and can headline? it's AF, Kasabian or KOL really at the minute and we already know that IF it's FM them 1st two won't appear as the 3rd. and based on that, it might be a AF rule out
PDAD
Or it could be hundreds of hundreds of other acts that we don't know about that they've considered.
thewayiam
Haha exactly. Before we get too carried away with FM, KOL and Elbow being nailed on, let's just wait until tomorrow

PDAD
hey, no one is nailing them on. just suggesting relevant reasons for them
greenArmy12
I dunno, is it better to have people specifically interested in the music or people just interested in saying they've been to Glastonbury and getting fucked up on ket?
CHRLY
My first post here but has anyone considered Biffy Clyro, doing R&L this year?

CHRLY
If Elbow did play, i think having Biffy and Elbow both in one year would be awfully weak. As much as i think they'd smash it.

PDAD
Ahh well I suppose it would be quite weak to have them both, I saw Elbow in 2011 and i enjoyed them but I would have Biffy over them anyday
arcade fireman
Thats one song. Most people don't even know that was Elbow...

CHRLY
Headlined in 2010. Is 4 years too short a gap? I think so, personally. You may disagree.
music-fan4
if elbow headline, arcade fire won't as well, having two bands that are not particularly well known headline (say what you will but I reckon more than half of my facebook friends have no idea who elbow and arcade fire are, yet all of them know the stones, mumford, arctics, u2, beyonce, coldplay etc.) is unlikely. Hence, Elbow Fleetwood Mac Daft Punk/Gaga/Rihanna/JT (someone very radio 1 and pop. with mainstream) I also think a jay-z and/or kanye headline slot is not out of the equation
PDAD
I thought this but then remembered that Coldplay did 2002 then 2005

CHRLY
True. It's not unheard of but on the same level, it's not normal for a gap to be that small. I'd consider it unlikely but i guess it can't be completely ruled out.
CHRLY
It's different as between those years, Coldplay dramatically rose in stature. Muse haven't, they've remained at the same level.
PDAD
Yeh, I do think that there's something about Coldplay that Eavis likes aswell. My dream would be three out of: Arcade Fire Muse Radiohead Stone Roses I think it is unlikely that Msue and Radiohead would play together and, as mentioned, Muse only headlined 4 years ago. Also, I can see there being a pop/charts act in there somewhere. So my actual prediction would be: Arcade Fire (very popular at the moment with a new album out this or next year) Fletwood Mac (alot of talk about them and they are Legends) Kanye West (Jay-z smashed it in 2008 and Kanye has an album out soon)
Jackmypie
Anyone else noticed Arcade Fire have gone up to 16/1 on william hill? Were previously 25/1. This is looking out to be a good bet
