Matt42
I can imagine this not getting a very good reception if these are the three. I think Depreche Mode headlining the pyramid is silly, and Fleetwood Mac is incredibly possible. Still very very sceptical about elbow. I think i'm kinda glad i'm not attending glastonbury next year, it would severely underwealm how good this year was!
pjadnoo
Elbow, Depeche Mode, Fleetwood Mac? Personally not overjoyed if this happens, but the headliners are such a small part of Glastonbury (in terms of the line-up, as well as the event as a whole) so not bothered. As people have said here and elsewhere, you can have a great festival without stepping near the Pyramid in the evening, and this will hopefully mean that ticket day is (slightly) more straight forward... LondonTom
Weird....very weird set of headliners if they end up being the three....very middle aged. I'd almost prefer Kanye West to do it.
Matt42
because it's all about the headliners right? what a plum

Wooderson
Ah - figured you knew something yesterday when you mentioned the Mode. Ah well. Not a fan - seen 'em before at Benicassim and the highlight was the bloke who stood at the back of the gig with a massive sign saying 'Depeche Mode Are Shite'. But I'm bolted on for Fleetwood Mac. 1 out of 3 is pretty typical stats for yours truly.
pedmills
Even if you don't like the three bands, everyone has to admit that these three would stand Glastonbury out as unique. I doubt Reading/V/TITP would risk Elbow, and the other two probably won't be at any others (although I guess IOW might mop one up).
CaledonianGonzo
Removing my own personal preferences, it's a good mix, IMHO. Something for (almost) everyone.

Wooderson
I would also suggest getting Tusk at the same time. Such an underrated album!
eFestivals
And you believe Elbow seem pretty certain but the other two are more questionable but still likely (or perhaps not)?I'm guessing, but I think that Elbow's relationship with Glasto will make them unlikely to get diverted away from it.The other two I know little about, but we know that FM have already been diverted away fro it once already, and very recently I've heard some stuff which has suggested that DM might have perhaps already been diverted away from it.It's worth bearing in mind that any massive band's manager is likely by-default to want to divert them elsewhere, as their own pay depends on how much the band get paid. PDAD
I'd love to see one of the pyramid headliners as, assuming I get tickets, it will be my first year and seeing a Pyramid headliner is something I would like to do then. But there is so much else that there is no way weak headliners could break the festival. As it goes though, really hoping the Depeche Mode rumour is true. The more i think about, the more the idea excites me.
Lubic
Overall - a bit disappointing. 2 older acts, who interest me, but are probably way past their performance peak, and Elbow who are hardly the most inspiring choice given that they subbed just 2 years ago, and have done little since. They seem like decent, hard-working guys, but they bored me the other year at Leeds. My mate still raves about their Glasto 2011 performance though! I just can't help but compare it to 2011 (my first and last Glasto) where my headliners were U2, Coldplay, and Queens (with bonus Radiohead and Pulp sets). Phenomenal. dentalplan
I'm selfishly enjoying this backlash. Hoped the Pyramid headliners would be crap so I wouldn't have to suffer the ordeal of being at Pyramid Stage at headliner o'clock. Instead the headliners are two-thirds good but not everyone's cup of tea so people may not pack out the Pyramid as much after all. Would be nice to imagine T-day being a bit better but won't fool myself with that.
Wooderson
All three of these are "watch from the pit" options from me. Superb nights in prospect. The 'Mode in particular is v welcome. They've a healthy lack of respect for the fest one would think. Will act as a nice counterweight to the potential over-earnestness from Elbow and bemused Yankee fog from Nicks/Bucks et al. Lubic
Having the long overdue Arcade Fire instead of Elbow (or maybe Depeche Mode) would be a massive improvement for me

eFestivals
For Depeche Mode? Nah. There was word IOW wanted them to do a co-headline thingy but I mean, why would that even be worth consideration if Glasto headline was possible?because they could do both?IoW and Glasto have shared one or more headline act before now.
