Zero_Newnab
I was thinking of not going next year because I have other summer plans near the same time and it would be incredibly expensive. Depeche Mode on the bill makes me seriously re-think that. Enjoy The Silence is one of my favourite songs of all time.
danny12345
Elbow, Depeche Mode, Fleetwood Mac would be more than acceptable for me. I am only a one song Elbow fan, but seeing them in 2011 was an immense moment for me and I would be happy to see them again because Guy Garvey is a good live performer, that's enough for me to enjoy their set. Depeche Mode I am a big fan, but have never seen them live, but will be doing so in Leeds in November and would be happy to see them live at Pyramid. Watching their live DVDs I think they look great and put on a good show. Fleetwood Mac, I am a hits fan only, but on a sunny warm evening, I think they would be great. No point in crying over those three though. For me Arctics are a 2 song band and Mumfords a one song band, but I didnt get pissed off, because Glastonbury isnt a one or two stage festival. At the very worst case scenario I bet I could go and enjoy a film at Pilton Palais if there was absolutely no music, comedy, cabaret on at all for me. Great track (imo) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IvfcnpJRf0Q and
eFestivals
Does anyone know why efests have chosen to spill what they know so early this year?In previous years (see fourth headliner) they have been quite happy to withhold what they know, so this development worries me - are they revealing what they know to be the case now and cutting off the chance of ever knowing anything in the future?I don't feel there's any worries on that score. arcade fireman
I'm not going next year due to the World Cup, and I have to say this set of headliners would make me very happy! Biggest fear would be I would miss one of the bands I really want to see a Pyramid headline set from, but hopefully that won't happen. Depeche Mode are a weak headliner IMO though. Can see the logic behind Elbow and Fleetwood Mac though.
Big Vern
You can hear on iPlayer the amount of people singing the riff to 'Old Yellow Bricks' - arguably a filler track on album 2 - arguably the weakest Arctic Monkeys album. To say they are a 2 song band is crazyness good sir!

Matt42
I think out of the three, fleetwood mac would go down a storm. To hear the chain live! That's a moment!
danny12345
Really? I think FWN is their strongest album. It has the most varied sound and mix of song styles of any of their albums.
FloorFiller
maybe i'm letting my own personal taste / opinion get in the way but i don't think those three headliners would go down well, at all, with most people (most people being my Facebook feed) Depeche Mode have never done it, and i'm sure to a lot of people they're a big coupe, but they're always been one of those acts that seem to get questioned as 'headliner material' on these boards (boards full of music / Glastonbury loving people) so i can imagine a lot of 'what the fuck?'s in the 'real world' Fleetwood Mac are obviously massive and are one of the few 'legendary' bands left to headline. a good booking but, to me personally, just doesn't seem that special. that's obviously personal opinion though. with their name flying about a lot this year i kind of got bored of the idea of them playing and Elbow were obviously going to do it eventually, and their Olympic performance seems to have shot them to new heights, but coupled with the other two headliners they seem rather dull a very 'mature' set of headliners imo. not much in the way of younger generation pleasing. i wouldn't personally go and see any of these headliners (maybe Fleetwood) and would hope that one of them (hopefully Elbow, although i'd say they're the most nailed on) would fall through and be replaced with something a little more... *tries to choose words carefully but fails* 'trendy / now / hip / not MOR guitar rock'
daniel.k
Just an idea I had after reading the comment above. As they are all more mature acts, do you think it's maybe one of the last year's Michael will be picking all the headliners and organising everything. Maybe in the next few years Emily will have a bigger role so Michael is getting who he wants to headline before he passes the baton?

Matt42
I agree with floor fliller, plus floor filler is this your first post since the festival? Noticed how you were absent from the boards post glastonbury I thought you died or something! Anyway out of the three, the only band that I would be interested in seeing is fleetwood mac as to hear the chain live, would be tear bringing. Mardy
I'd see none of them, but they're still a world class set of headliners

pedmills
just feels like a little more 'oomph' is needed. who? i have no idea, and most of my suggestions would probably be scoffed at anyway. but if those three do end up being the headliners i shall definitely be looking elsewhere
dondo
If Depeche Mode is true then I would be very happy as they are one of my favourite bands- seen them live a good number of times including in Paris last month. They are also my wife's favourite band ever so whereas the last few years I've gone on my own and worked whilst she has stayed at home and kindly looked after the kids we may well be trying for tickets and taking the kids (though the last bit could be tricky given new legislation for term time absences!) Elbow I can take or leave and Fleetwood Mac I have grown to appreciate in recent years after previously not really been into them
jimmyt
The only issue I have with the suggested headliners is that I have little to moan about and I'd probably watch all three despite my yearly determination to spend more time away from the main stages. I think Depeche Mode would really surprise people; I'm most excited about seeing them having missed out when I was ill for their gig at Crystal Palace supported by The Sisters Of Mercy (how I wish I'd been at that gig) and never managing to see them since. The biggest plus is that none of these bands have been REALLY hard to see in recent times which might lower the clamour for tickets to essentially people that love the festival not just that want to be seen there and say they saw The Stones. Or Coldplay. Or fucking Radiohead.
Amy Lawn
Elbow is a fair enough headliner for me, although I wont watch them. Depeche Mode strike me as very niche, far too niche when compared to other Glastonbury headliners in previous years. Fleetwood Mac are not Fleetwood Mac, they are in fact very shit and are only very popular these days because of Glee. I would like Glastonbury to pursue less massive headliners in the future, so Elbow gets my stamp of approval, but Depeche Mode are an odd choice, if the Eavii want to book them then that's their choice. I do object to Fleetwood Mac though, a bunch of money-grabbing old farts who have been bollocks ever since Peter Green left, Rumours is pish. The advantage of these headliners though is that I wont have to venture over to the Pyramid at all and fewer people will want tickets in 2015. Ovechkin
yea kinda "meh" for me as well, but then again there's so many other stages with quality music on any given night it isn't really that big of a deal. coming from abroad tho makes it a tad harder to justify financially in my opinion.. as someone wrote earlier if this is the final headliners demand is probably going to be lower for 2015, even more so if raining next summer. Big Vern
Im confident Depeche Mode would get a big crowd if not from UK fans from foreign fans who will tag Glastonbury on to a DM concert. They are HUGE out of the UK, and fairly big in the UK
