2014 Headliner predictions

Kasabian are terrible and thankfully it seems the time when they might have headlined has been and gone.

Hopefully the same applies for Biffy "the UKs Nickelback" Clyro.

Two truly mediocre bands.

After a weekend seeing roger waters and leonard cohen, seeing bands like this mentioned really brings you back to earth with a bump. Dreadful stuff.

I'd love to see Fleetwood Mac, Led Zeppelin and Prince. My parents have registered and will try to get tickets purely because Zepp are rumoured so I really hope they play. My boyfriend, on the other hand, has his fingers and toes crossed for Daft Punk. If it's Kasabian I'll be far far away seeing literally anybody else.

Latest Fleetwood Mac comments....

"We were asked to do some lovely festivals this year and it didn't work out. Once you do the festivals then you can't really do a tour of the other towns. We were asked to do Glastonbury this year and hopefully they'll ask us again."

When asked about the possibility of playing Glastonbury 2014, Fleetwood replied: "I don't know - they've probably got fed up of asking us!"

Just think the Festival might being trying to not just appeal to the middle aged and geriatrics? :P

Biffy and Kasabian are both big enough and good enough to headline (The Biff especially). Over the last 3 years (admittedly bigger than both but Arctics still only do Arena's and not stadiums to ) we've had Muse, Coldplay and Arctic Monkeys who are hardly surprising acts to pop up?

The festival has to eventually have other acts than big legends ...it's not sustainable. Anyway doesn't matter how big/good they are, it's not about the music right? ;)

I'm not saying he will but is it way out of touch to think Example could sub headline the pyramid next year instead of maybe 3rd? 11 date including the o2 arena tour just announced and if it sells well.

that is comfortably to be as big as anyone in the mainstream will need for a sub, and he subbed other this year, I dunno wether I'd see them just bumping him up on there ( I'm fairly sure them top two were purely to counter The Stones), usually way too mainstream for Other Stage and even at Other headline, it's pretty much Pyramid sub anyway.

I've just heard some well sourced info that Kasabian are 'probably' headlining Glasto next year .... but unfortunately this well sourced info has come from the lips of someone well-known for their constant over-statements, so while there might be something to it there's a good chnace it's just wishful thinking.

(and now I bet there'll be one or more people who read this and know from what I've said who the source is )
