Frankly Mr Shankly
Just looks like reading festival and not at all like glastonbury.
mrtourette
It doesn't look much like Reading, can't see Jesse J, Kanye or Gotye playing high up the main stage at Reading. Edited July 2, 2013 by mrtourette
pedmills
Sorry to shoot you down here but... Only Ash in 1997 were an act that could be labelled as 'new' when replacing a headline act since the formation of the festival. jimmyt
And finally, I can't think of a single large-scale act who is more 'un-Glastonbury' than Rihanna. Doesn't write any of her own songs (writers have to battle it out to 'earn the right' to be on her albums), barely sings live, hardly any talent for me (attractiveness clearly pays the bills), advertises smart phones at her gigs. There are many other points which mean she isn't suitable. No great fan of Gaga, but she'd be a better choice compared to Rihanna. If I recall, she can play a piano at the very least. dancelittleliar
My guess is 3 from Radiohead, Arcade Fire, Kasabian, Lady Gaga, Stone Roses, Fleetwood Mac, The Killers With outside chances of Kanye, Daft Punk, Justin Timberlake or Foo Fighters And VERY outside chances of Led Zeppelin, Prince or Bowie Kasabian, Stone Roses, Radiohead is my guess for now. I'd prefer to swap out Kasabian for AF though Edited July 2, 2013 by dancelittleliar
eldest300
If they can't get Stone Roses I'll go for Kasabian Fleetwood Mac Arcade Fire
Jackmypie
Fucking hell Arcade Fire 25/1?! Putting a fiver on that, will have half the fest already paid for if I win and only a cold pint at Glasto if I lose Edited July 2, 2013 by Jackmypie
pedmills
I don't get betting on the headliners...what's to stop someone who helps organise the festival or someone who knows someone like that betting on it?
Redwinevino
Anyone know if the Market is for any of the 3 days? If it Arcade Fire are a outstanding bet at those odds
JackyBoi
If, and that's IF, Fleetwood Mac were to do it, I'd love it if they managed to talk Christine McVie into playing with them just this once.
ThomThomDrum
Feetwood Mac were 33/1 early on today and are now 12/1............. Make of that what you will but that movement only happens with some heavy betting........... It would be interesting to see what others move large amounts
ThomThomDrum
Sorry Now Fleetwood Mac are 6/1! Nailed on!!
Jackmypie
Waaaaait guys! Did anyone else not see this in tiny writing below? "Who will be the headline act on the Sunday at the Pyramid Stage, Glastonbury 2014. Others on Request." This makes it much harder!
mrtourette
Odds drop if lots of people bet on them, but there's no evidence that those people have any idea what they're doing. Could be the same people who churn out idiotic predicitons on these forums.

ThomThomDrum
Before she was lady gaga Stefani was a songwritter and I'm pretty sure she is a classically trained musician, think she went to a 'music school'. She co-writes all of her songs with her producers. She's a lot more 'credible' than people giver her credit for, especially the first album, just people put pop music and female singer together and get mindless drone who sings what she's told. Reckon gaga would nail a pyramid headline slot .
thewayiam
Good Spot.............If Feetwood Mac play any other day all that money is lost.......... Yikes And it seems a fair amount would have been put on to go from 33/1 to 6/1 in a few hours
wilko8
posting here or not about it, putting up the info I've known for months is not my highest priority right now. Running my business in the best way possible is - which if I don't do, it won't be here for your entertainment next year. This site costs £6k a month to run; in these busy months it's doing less than that. So efests is fucked right now - it won't be here this time next year as things stand - and that's of far more concern to me that your selfish little wants, OK? Now, back in the adult world where people have weighed up and worked out their priorities, I'll say again, I'll tell you soon-ish. If that's not good enough for you, oh well, fuck off somewhere else where they won't tell you anything at all about next year's headliners.
