Not a gig as such but I went to a Doves "In Conversation" at Rough Trade in Liverpool tonight.    It was Jez and Andy with a 6music DJ guiding the conversation, and they were so engaging, interesting and funny. It lasted around an hour 15 mins.   The best bit was that they did 4 acoustic tracks, Here it Comes, The Cedar Room, Carousels and a new one. Hearing the two of them singing those with no wall of noise behind them has made me 100% confident for the tour without Jimi, their voices were both incredible. Can't believe they played those old ones like that in front of around 100 people!    Just need to sort out some tickets for Manchester in March now, hugely regretting not getting them when I had presale access!!
