I think a greatest hits set could and surely would look different to this one.  Stagger Lee, Do You Love Me, There She Goes My Beautiful World, Higgs Boson Blues, Where The Wild Roses Grow.  I don't know if he ever plays fifteen feet of pure white snow (have seen him around 10 times since 2013 and haven't heard it) but I really like it.  As noted above, the set could benefit from a wee jolt of something in the second half.  (I also really like songs like Jesus Alone and Frogs but accept they might not be "greatest hits".)

Regardless, every album since PTSA (which put him in a Pyramid headline "conversation") pushes further away the prospect of a Pyramid headline slot, imo.  Putting him on Other vs something pop seems obvious/sensible.

ps I don't think the lyrics appearing on the screen works.  I saw Manics and Suede in Leeds millennium square in July and got unintentional giggles at the Manics' sloganeering appearing on the slightly too small screen on the slightly too quiet stage/PA, in broad daylight.  Felt briefly like I was in a Louis Theroux subculture documentary.

It's maddening to me that he hasn't rolled There She Goes out on this tour considering he has a four piece collective of vocalists behind him.

Almost a week since the Cardiff gig and I think it'll be my last time buying tickets to his own show unless he releases an album I truly love. Feel quite a lot like the magic isn't there this time.

Obviously hard when you're comparing an 8/10 gig to multiple 10/10s but happy with that decision.

Went to see them in Dublin last night. Bloody fantastic! Highlights among the new tracks included Conversion (Nick is much clearer in the mix live and it was powerful), Final rescue attempt, Joy and Cinnamon Horses…but as usual, a completely engrossing performance (the new album works so well live and I thought the entire show was really well paced, so I can see why they aren’t tampering with it). Nick was in very chatty form (he has been the last few times to be honest, but this is probably the most “jovial” he’s been. He laughed a lot). Colin Greenwood has slotted in like a natural, Ellis a force of nature as usual and the backing singers superb. Anyone on the fence about going to see them on this tour, just do it, you won’t regret it!

Cardiff was the first time I’d seen him and he absolutely blew me away, one of the best things I’ve ever seen in the arena. Would love him to be on the farm.

I know it's a good five months off, but just took a look at how sales were going in Brooklyn and... not good is the answer, perhaps.

I don't think anyone (even him) would complain if he needs to go back to more reasonably sized venue.

He probably only fell short of a Leeds sell-out in the end by a few hundred tickets. Demand over here is there.

But I did think it was ambitious - and that's with St Vincent on the bill.

Cave to do Cruel Summer on piano in the encore.

19,000 Capacity and the GA tickets were almost $200 with fees.

even though he's played it before, it didnt sell out then and 19K is a lot of expensive tickets for new york.  $75 for nosebleed seats.

I think Barclays is only 13-14K for a regular end stage show.

If only we'd had St Vincent as support over here. If I didn't have plans to go to the US in February I'd have probably made a trip around this.
