You know, every time I read this thread, I think I really must give the latest album another go, and every time I do, i realise I can't get into it. I'm clearly missing something here. Don't know what to do about it. I've had a really good crack at it, but it's just not pushing my buttons.

Slagging something off you haven't listened to is not cool; trying something and not liking it is absolutely no problem. If you liked everything you tried to it would be much more worrying.

It's odd, because I like Nick Cave a lot, seen him a fair few times, in the Uk, In Vienna, in Moscow, right back from 93 or 94 till recently. Just can't get into this album, seems a bit leaden is all. No spark in there, really.

I've got it on again now, and to me, it's easily ignorable. And that's the one thing I would never expect from a NC album. Dunno.

Listening to PTSA now. Why the fuck hasn't he played Water's Edge live? Hauntingly brilliant.

I think he has elsewhere. Maybe in Australia or the US? I reckon it would be amazing, you're right.

Water's Edge got an outing at that London gig in February (think they did the whole album from start to finish) and at Sidney Myers Concert Bowl in March. So it's been done.

Edit: saw the word Sidney and just assumed the venue!
