CHRLY
Wasn't Rings of Saturn the only one that wasn't in the film? Found it strange, even tho it's my least favourite.

Surely he will announce the Europe leg soon, the wait is making me jittery now..
zero000
That is a fantastic setlist. If he tours the UK I'm there.
Zoo Music Girl
Jesus Christ what what a set list. Not what I was expecting from this tour at all. Holy fuck. When are we getting uk dates?!
russycarps
I'm shocked stagger lee is still in there. I wonder how they do distant sky?

Baffling stuff The main negatives are in the third-and-fourth-to-last paragraphs. Just some faltering after two years off the road but sounds like stuff that can be ironed out by the time they're ready to hit Europe. That setlist is a humdinger - not sure about the Else video on Distant Sky but then again, it's probably difficult to do much else.

I agree with you on the screen, but I'm hoping she'll be wheeled out in person in London, we are usually pretty lucky with that kind of thing. Zoo Music Girl
Can't get over that set list still. So not what I was expecting. I'm really happy to see some raucous numbers - Eternity, Jack the Ripper and Papa especially - although I'd probably swap out Red Right Hand and Stagger Lee for newer stuff from the last two albums... delighted to see Higgs and PTSA still going strong. The review mentions Into My Arms but it's not on the set list - did they sack it off after an abortive attempt do we think? I too think we'll get Torp for the London dates. Hoping for Hammersmith or Brixton. This news has got me really excited but it's frustrating not to even have dates for the UK. I wonder why the delay. So should be fine. Great Scott, that Setlist is incredible. The only tracks I'd sub in would be material from Abattoir Blues /Lyre (There She Goes, O Children) and I'd probably want Deanna too, but that's nitpicking. That encore is phenomenal. DownboundTrain52
Short notice to be between the two. I'd wager late August/September/October tour of Europe, with the UK dates probably falling towards the front/end of itinerary. Expecting probably five or six shows: Royal Albert Hall, Wolves Civic, Bridgewater Hall, The Sage, a Scottish date and one other (South Coast?) I guess the dream would be for him to hit up Yorkshire, but there's only really Bridlington Spa/Sheffield City Hall I could see falling in his itinerary. A scaled down arena show in Leeds could be a potential shout, but only likely if Manchester is snubbed.

Zoo Music Girl
I think they'll do Brighton personally. Didn't think of the Albert Hall, that's a possibility. I'd prefer Hammersmith or Brixton. Please don't let it be 1st to 11th October as I'm away...

London, Wolves, Manchester, Brighton, Glasgow - and maybe the Sage too. How is the Dome as a venue? Never been.

Its pretty great, one of the bigger venues in Brighton as its part of the Pavilion but still feels intimate. Its similar to Hammersmith Apollo, RAH etc in that its a fairly grand hall. Sound has always been great when I've been too.

Big fan of Hammersmith Apollo - saw Kate Bush and the Cure there - and saw Dave Gilmour at the RAH once too. Sounds like a ringing endorsement! Yeah I'd definitely check it out if there's something there that interests you I've always had a good time there and can't think of any issues I've had with it. ahh man bet they were some good shows. I've only been to Hammersmith twice - Fleet Foxes in 2011(?) and Tame Impala in 2013. Went to RAH for the first time back in may for Iggy Pop. There is a chance I may have forgotten some though, been to a lot of gigs in the last 3 years !
Hutchmaster
Nick Cave playing Manchester/Liverpool would really encourage me to do all I can in my power to resist being forced back to Belfast when I finish university. Assuming that he doesn't play Belfast because ye know, we rarely get anyone cool playing.. Edited January 15, 2017 by Johnkhutch

Yet to see the Cave - missed him on both PTSA and the solo tour - and he's probably one of the few artists I'd be tempted to see multiple times on the same tour. (Very glad that it appears half the show is Skeleton Tree and PTSA too - as they're both magnificent records). Iggy at the RAH, that would have been special. Saw him in '15 supporting FF - blew them out of the water.

I agree its a stunning set list. Iggy was great, was at the front for the whole thing too! Hoping he turns up at the farm in June
Zoo Music Girl
If you've never seen Cave you're in for a real treat. Seen them tons from Abbatoir Blues onwards and they never disappoint, but the last tour they were on their best form yet. Really interested to see what they're like on this tour given the circumstances and the new album, but that set list is very promising. I'll probably try and go to more than one date - they often do three in London.
