I want this one too, liking the 1970s Dr Who/James Bond look.

It's hard to see this one, but apparently the number plate is C105 EMY

C105 EMY a loan truck in use at Bournemouth International Airport during 2009 whilst one of the 6x6 crash tenders is away for refurbishment. It is a 1986 Simon Gloster Saro Protector.

1940 Bedford Heavy Unit (FYH 104)

1940 Bedford Heavy Unit (FYH 104).During World War 2,around 1,000 pumps were built on Bedford chassis, and most were capable of producing 700gpm through four delivery outlets and were designated Heavy Units. Also during this same period of time many were produced and could deliver 1,100gpm through six deliveries and were designated as Extra Heavy Units.

Through bomb and flame, they stood their ground, with just an axe,or branch in hand.

No thought for themselves, just others around, they gave so much, protecting our land.

As bomb after bomb, fell to ground, that terrible noise, that terrible sound. The young and the old, they all did their bit, those very brave firemen, sadly now many dead.

Many have gone, but will not be forgot, for all that they did,and much they could not

They all did their best,in our hour of need, those hundreds of firemen,a very brave breed.

We'll never forget them, and all that they did,to make this world better, and life better to live.

God bless the many, that have sadly now gone,we shall remember them, freedom and peace cannot be wrong.

Chicago. Engine 104, but sadly now closed, and is a restaurant instead. Lovely Commer, Mr Hack. Wasn't aware of that mark, but it looks a design classic, like the old Citroen vans now serving coffee.

Hope it gets better, Grumpy & Yog

Not sure if these links will show pictures, IE8 is playing up and it's the work's laptop. This first link is a fire truck for sale (what's shipping like from USA?), with a 102' platform, ideal for picking those hard to reach apples on the tree on the allotment, whilst parked on the road 80 feet away.

The last link is just because it's a nice, restored truck.

Tried to get those links to work carlosj but couldn't manage it. While trying however I came across this before and after shot of a lovely, lovely, lovely engine. It maybe the one you were trying to post carlosj?
