While he wasn't big on crowd reaction, I think the David Bowie cover was the turning point. The crowd went wild for it and you could tell the band stepped it up a gear after that, I was nearer the back and the crowd was a bit muted to that point.

During that one-two punch of Tonight, Tonight and Bullet everyone I could see went mental.

Roskilde

So people keep saying but A: that was a while back now, crowd barriers/management are much better B: Pearl Jam have started doing festivals again and C: I don't buy it, as Glasto DOES book heavier acts, I'm just saying it would be nice to have a few more seeing as how most other genres get a good outing.

Yeah I don't really buy the Roskilde argument anymore. Crowd management has totally changed since then and the tradegy wasn't caused by the type of music being played but by the conditions. In reality the same thing could have happened regardless of who was on stage at the time.

I think it comes down to the fact that the Eavis' don't massively like rock music or rock music crowds so they tend to stay away from rockier acts.

Am I getting carried away or did everyone else really enjoy the Oceania tracks?

Nope i enjoyed them too i've never listened to them until that point and think that i might actually begin to give the rest of their stuff a go. They won me over with that setlist, the buzz afterwards was unbelievable

I enjoyed them but I think the sound on Billy's vocals was poor for the first two which kind of ruined it for me.
