The Friday Night West Holts club thread

Basically,

I know I bored everyone with my obsessions with Chic and stuff and I know Glastonbury is a mile off BUT I thought I'd make this thread just so that we could discuss who should get the infamous Friday night West Holts stage slot.

Whoever it is, I will be there and will probably be more than merry but I thought it'd be fun to throw about a few names and clips of live performances etc.

Personally I'd like anything out of: Manu Chao, David Byrne, Earth Wind & Fire or Gogol Bordello.

I reckon none of those will probably happen but I can dream!

Have fun

disclaimer: I've had a few ciders so apologies for this thread, delete it if you think it's a waste of time, Niel.

ELO? Yes please. A bit of Jamirouquai would be a great shout if Jay Kay wasn't such a nob. Still good tunes though! Also, would love to see Phish on the bill one day, I can imagine it would be pretty cool standing their with brothers in hand whilst You Enjoy Myself washes over the crowd!

Jamiroquai would be great, agree though that Jay can be a bit of a tool. Earth Wind and Fire, ELO I'm on board with. Chaka Khan would be ace. Would Dave Matthews Band do it? Someone like Escort would be mint I think:

Escort

Fitz and the Tantrums and Eli Paperboy Reed too please.

Bobby Womack was awesome on Sunday. I saw Kool and the gang in 2011:) . I had to give Chic a miss for Portishead, and i don't regret it as that was magical. I really want to see Earth Wind and fire or Shalama next year. Let's make it happen people.... and on a Sunday night please!

I'd be very happy with E,W+F but would also like J5, A Tribe Called Quest, An incarnation of the Marley Brothers, The Family Stone (gutted about missing them this year) or George Clinton and Parliament.

I'm sure there's loads more that would make me happy too but these came to mind very easily.
