40 something days out and there's no "I'm excited about X" thread, no, "how do i get my drugs in" thread, no "its not as good as it used to be" thread.....

There's no "I love/Hate/Meh Skrillex" Thread.

Theres no "where do i poo when the twats next door have set fire to the bogs"

Theres no " where do i sleep when the twats next door have set fire to my tent" (that won't happen, not these days, don't worry folks!).

Wheres the Passion ? The Excitement ? The ANYTHING ?

I thought Reading was about RAWK ? and maybe some ROLL ??? Wheres YOUR Rock n Roll ?????

You lot wanna pop over to the Glastonbury Forum, where they KNOW how to not only get the party started but keep it going after the event !

Shit, the dudes over there are longing for NEXT JUNE, never mind next month !!! AND none of em have tickets and they are STILL banging on about how great/shit it was/is !!!

Granted, they getting all het up about Fleetwood Mac and Elbow, but at least they getting het up about SOMETHING !!!!

like I've said its my first Reading for 8 years, ain't gone Download this year and I did Godiva last weekend which has got me all in the mood, bought my new tent today, so yeah im excited

Theres absolutely tons on the line up for me,

Green Day I haven't seen for 11 years, Eminem ive never seen and Biffy ive seen a fair bit but think they're a solid band.

Two of my favourite acts are back to back in System and Deftones and I finally get to see NIN.

Then you have fantastic live acts like Skindred and Editors playing who are both great everytime ive seen them

Also tons of acts Ive never seen before who I really want to see FIDLAR, Tame Impala, Don Broco, White Lies, Sick of It All, Peace, 1975, California X, Tomahawk, Arcane Roots, Alkaline Trio, Quicksand, Knife Party and theres others and I suppose im quite up for Fall Out Boy.

The Saturday may be weak overall and the Sunday lacking in some quality early on but I guess its cus Friday is so strong too, overall im very happy and its all about the laugh with your mates too

1. who gives a fuck about glasto, (going to get a lot of hate for this comment but i don't give a shit) - reading is nothing like glasto so why try and compare the two, its like comparing watching premier league football and league one football.

2. reading about rock and roll? sure there are acts that cater that these days but have you seen the lineup? trying to become more diverse and fucking it up.

3. fuck the end of exam celebrations, simple as.

4. green day aren't a house band good sir, they've hardly played compared to the real house bands such as frank turner, enter shitkari, and to an extent biffy clyro.

also why the fuck would you have passion and excitement about a fest where all you'd see is 7 acts out of over a 100. that shows me that the fest isn't catering for me this year and i will stay the fuck away unless something entices me in.

simples.

1 - Wasn't comparing Glasto with Reading, just the forums. Perhaps i was expecting more excitement in here than i was seeing. Maybe i'm in the wrong forum (cheers robMUFC96!). I doubt you'll get "hate" for your opinion - would be a pretty shitty place if you did IMO.

2 - well, it used to be ! I class Metal in the same bracket as Rock n Roll, and SOAD, Deftones and NIN are pretty "rock", no ? I guess aside from Download, theres more Rock n Roll at Reading than most UK festivals these days. Again, i'm old and crap so maybe i'm just wrong.

3 - fair play. never taken one, just assumed that's what a lot of people do. my bad.

4 - definitely my bad. Apologies. That's my age and shocking memory showing ! Enter ShiTkari ?! made me laugh that !

Why would I have passion? Erm, cause I'm going ! There are several bands I'd like/love to see and its a fine way to end the summer.
